Since the oil boom in the 70s, subsequent Nigerian governments have been investing billions of dollars into infrastructural projects building mega-schools, mega-hospitals, Mega-universities, super-highways and a new modern city called Abuja yet these mega-projects have not reduced poverty in Ogbodo Niger. Infact, it is on record that Nigeria exports the highest number of beggars to the rest of Arica.

Personally, I blame NDC for this incidence. Pres Rawlings in his brief address in Cape Coast to the party cautioned them not to play the game of the NPP. He said the NDC should avoid trying to take on the NPP on their turf. He said these people are adepts at what they do on their turf. In other words they should avoid violence which is the hallmark of the NPP. So why did the NDC route their walk in front of Akufo Addo's residence? These guys are adept in what they do. They staged the whole incidence and the NDC fell into the trap. When the route was disclosed on Friday, the NPP saw their chance. They provoked the NDC people to react to their tantrums and very quickly they set in motion the press machinery already laid out. They have cleverly played the victim even though they were firing guns - there are photos on social media to prove this. The police have confirmed that an NPP man pointed a gun at a police commander. But all the reactions so far from Peace Council, Methodist church, catholic Bishops and the NPP press have it that the NDC were the perpetrators of the violence. If the NDC had avoided that route all this would not have happened. Many undecided voters can easily be won over to the NPP by this incident. I am at a loss why the NDC are always playing into the traps laid by the NPP.

The way the story from many witnesses go, it appears the security guards at Akufo-Addo residence reacted prematurely with threatening gun-shots, before the NDC crowd ever responded with stone throwing, if they ever did throw missiles at the residence, at all.

One thing that stood out in the video shown on Myjoyonline TV clearly showed a Guard patrolling the compound with a gun, and another still picture on the website of the same Medium depicted another guard also patrolling with a long gun.

Those pictures counter the claim by Nana Akomeah, and other NPP Officials that no Security Guard in Akufo-Addo's residence ever carries a gun. It is such blatant lie from Akomeah and his Akyem Mafia faction of the NPP that makes it difficult for any fair-minded person to defend Akufo-Addo as any peaceful leader.
