It must be noted this is a title Nigeria has cultivated and held over a number of decades.
John Dramani Mahama within less than a decade and quite fantastically, less than 8 years, has smashed and obliterated Nigeria's prowess in that egregiously irresponsible endeavor.
The respite Nigerians are enjoying shows conclusively, not only have Nigerians not regretted voting out Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Nigerians have chosen a different path and direction worthy of emulation across the continent of Africa to be replicated massively with the complete firing of John Dramani Mahama at the ballot box on December 7th.

The United States government says it will not hesitate to hold responsible those who incite political violence in the run up to the December 7 polls.

As punishment for those who engage in these acts, the US says it will “…will consider all options to hold responsible those who incite political violence, including denying or revoking visas.”

It further urged all to participate peacefully in the democratic process—before, during and after Election Day, stressing that “The government of the United States does not support a particular candidate or a particular party. We support democracy.”

Below is a copy of the full statement

The United States condemns all political violence in Ghana, especially any violent acts directed at political candidates, their homes or families.

While campaigns can be vigorous and sometimes contentious, violence has no place in the electoral process.

In the period leading up to and following Ghana’s elections on December 7, we call on all actors to remain peaceful and respect the democratic process.

We encourage all parties to make it clear to their constituents that any violence or attempts to use intimidation to disrupt the democratic process is unacceptable.

The United States will consider all options to hold responsible those who incite political violence, including denying or revoking visas.

The United States applauds Ghana’s tradition of peaceful, democratic elections. The international community is working with the Electoral Commission, National and Regional Peace Councils, NGOs, civil society organizations, the media, the police and others to support Ghana’s efforts to hold credible and nonviolent presidential elections.

We urge all to participate peacefully in the democratic process—before, during and after Election Day.

The government of the United States does not support a particular candidate or a particular party. We support democracy.

We will continue to work with the freely elected government of Ghana, just as we always have.\

The change that is coming is going to hurt just some few people that have looted the state and are so scared, but this change is going to affect the lives of many Ghanaians.
I recently visited Ghana and I had some few gifts for my friends, so I give them out but one of them was bold enough to tell me that next time I shouldn't buy anything for him but rather bring him half of the money I will use in buying him those gifts. I was taken aback so said but it is me who decides what to give you and he replied it is he who decides what to take. He went on further to explain that if I had spent $100.00 to buy him two shirts and two trousers he would be able to do a lot with $50 in terms of feeding himself than those clothes. This guy was a very we resourced fellow. Infact, I was beside myself with shame for making the statement I made earlier and that is when it also dawned on me that the country has been really mismanaged. Don't listen to these people vote them out and if the npp comes and don't deliver on their campaign promises deal with them also. Let them struggle for the power in your thumb. You are very powerful and don't belittle yourself by taking a bottle of akpeteshie and then give your vote to the provider of that bottle of akpeteshie or some few pleasantries. The person gives pittance you vote for him and he gains power and can steal ten thousand times what he gave you. Vote wisely but not for these current nation wreckers.
At this time you are very powerful and if it goes away it is going to take another four years to have it back.
