  If infrastructures alone can reduce poverty in developing countries Nigeria would have been heaven on earth but go and see the level of abject poverty prevailing in that oil rich country. Since the oil boom in the 70s, subsequent Nigerian governments have been investing billions of dollars into infrastructural projects building mega-schools, mega-hospitals, Mega-universities, super-highways and a new modern city called Abuja yet these mega-projects have not reduced poverty in Ogbodo Niger. Infact, it is on record that Nigeria exports the highest number of beggars to the rest of Arica.
  Nigeria has more quality universities than Ghana. When it comes to infrastructure Nigeria is second to none in West Africa yet the level of poverty and misery in that country is terrible and it appears Mahama is charting the same course. Mahama says he is providing infrastructure yet businesses are collapsing and the majority are becoming jobless. This tells you that infrastructure alone cannot reduce poverty, corruption and stealing.
  So you see, infrastructure alone is not enough to create wealth and jobs. What can create wealth and jobs is sound policies as espoused by Nana and Bawumia.

  In fact thank to the fufuso Sawla road, farmers can easily cart their goods to the market centers.

Fufulso-Sawla Road is heavily Asphalted yet there is no toll booth because it passes through 100% Gonja communities and Mahama Mother's home town.   The objective few in this country can attest to the fact that it is only clueless and visionless people who would say the Circle interchange does not give value for money.
  For the records, the construction of the circle interchange helped create over 600 jobs for local artisans while the completion of the interchange will help ease traffic in the busy business districts thus more productive hours will not be spent in traffic.

The NDC led by president Mahama promised to build 200 new SHS and they are doing just that as several of the school projects have been completed and commissioned while a total of 123 is expected to be completed by end of 2016! corruption is also being exposed and dealt with under the watch of JM as evident in his approval for the dismissal of over 20 judges implicated in the judicial scandal!

  For the records, if indeed the price of the project is bloated, then the NPP MPs in parliament must be blamed for failing Ghanaians. In effect we all know they all sat on the various parliamentary select committees which did all the fiscal studies and analysis before the project started.
  However, we are grateful to President Mahama for his good works and for also ensuring the 147km sawla fufulso road was also completed.

  Agbesi Kwesi's statement about poverty in Nigeria is being overblown without deep statistical overview. Nigeria has a population of 185Million people almost about 7 times that of Ghana. If you look at the poverty index per the population ratio, you will note that there are more poverty stricken people in Ghana than Nigeria. Please also note that Lagos State alone has the third largest yearly budget among Africa countries. The longest bridge on the lagoon spanning over 18 kilometres is found in Lagos while the tallest bridge has against what President Mahama is saying is also found in Lagos, that is the constain bridge. Also note that infastructure is a bane in developments of any country. It attracts more foreign industries that creates job for the local people.So Agbesi Kwesi, if you are attacking the President for poor performance is OK but do it constructively with facts and figures.   IT is a good idea to have a flyover of its kind in Accra, Ghana.Though,It has been constructed it was by the timely opposition of some of us who disaggreed with the President to build a huge Nkrumahs statue at the center of the place where the flyover is situated.I personally advised that, building a flyover at the center of Nkrumah circle would ease the traffic jams prevailing at the circle and a beatiful gift for the residents of Accra insteated of the political effgy of Dr Nkrumah since that could be built at any part of the circle after the flyover has been built.
