This is the dumbest thing I have heard "unemployed graduates are not skilled", I thought the completion of a graduate degree was supposed to educate and prepare one to take on most assignments? If the current curriculum at our universities are not doing so then it is a failure of the government. The government is supposed to fund research, which it has not done well there. Understood government does not create jobs other than the public sector jobs,but government is supposed to create an environment that helps the private sector grow. So far I have not seen this administration do much to grow the private sector. There is the high interest rates, constant power outage, lack of incentives for the small business sector,lack of security that prevents foreign investments, unnecessary public holidays etc, which has reduced the ability of the private sector to hire and grow. The failure of the administration is Mahama's failure -- it does not need a magician to get it done, it needs deep and creative thinkers to get it done and so far that has been missing in this administration. Putting up school buildings without strong educators and a great curriculum is simply garbage in garbage out and that failure falls squarely on Mahama's administration. I guess Ghanaians may not be as angry as Britain(BREXIT), Nigerians (Buhari change) or Americans (Trump), if they were then Mahama/NDC ought to be shown the door after NDC's 8 years of high unemployment and mediocre economic growth, despite the high debt the country is saddled with.

Then gradually you will move to second gear but you in particularly you have spent 4 years only on 1st gear and therefore you have completely damage the engine of the car.

It is sad, President Mahama is repeating what Col Kutu Achiampong the ex military head of state exclaimed during his turnure of office in an answer to a turbulent situation,when Doctors laid down their stratospes and refused to go back to their practices unless their demands were being met inspite of incessant deaths at the Government Hospitals, which neccesitated the bloodless Palace Coup De Tat against him by General Kwasi Akuffo, all of blessed memories.President Mahama seem to be tired of the work entrusted to him by the Ghanaian popuplace since this is not the justiable answer he is suposed to render to the youth unemployment situation,as there are among the graduate unemployment situation ,Accountants Pyscologist, Philosophers,scienceists Mathamaticians civil engineers, computer engineers etc.I therefore do not understand the point he raised vis avis the precarious situation of the countrys graduate or youth employment situation in the country.Governments all over the globe do not create employment avenues which has no relivance to that countrys labour market.

The job market is saturated.There are no Jobs.But a Clueless African President unable to create jobs will never accept this plain truth to address it.Give us a break. Is it the Student who should address School Curriculum to a Skilled 21 Century Standards or the Ministry of Education?. Again, the major benefits of Population Census aside from knowing our number is to help in national Planning. Do Ghana use Statistics to Plan,or officials wait until things get out of hand.
