The founder and presidential candidate of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, has launched blistering attacks on President Mahama and his wealthy brother, Ibrahim Mahama, accusing them of stealing.

Some online portals recently reported that the multi-millionaire had purchased a 20-million dollar jet for his brother, President Mahama.

However speaking to traders at Kantamanto on Thursday as part of her Greater Accra campaign tour, the former First Lady questioned how the businessman got the money to buy a jet for his brother when he is unable to repay a bank loan.

“What sort of lie is this? How come your brother [Ibrahim Mahama] who was unable to pay a bank loan, managed to get 20 million dollars to buy a plane for you?. It means that while you are stealing, your brother is also stealing, your family is stealing , your friends are also stealing , ” Mrs Rawlings fired.

"So what should Ghanaians do? Let’s vote them out," she charged.

Do you know the responsibilities of a president? The president is accountable to the people, not the other way around, if you know what that means.

These idiotic nurses should know that the withdrawal of the allowances was an NPP policy stated in a letter written in July 2008, which was signed by the then deputy minister of health. I can bet my last pesewas that these stupid ignoramuses will laugh from the wrong sides of their mouths if the NPP comes to power, because they will not pay even what the nurses are referring to as peanuts. The excuse, like it happened in 2001,will be that the NDC left nothing in the coffers, and that the government has a lot of debts to settle. These nurses who should rather be thinking about the how they will get employed after school, should rather be thankful to the NDC for the massive increase in health institutions which will guarantee job openings for them going into the future. They can decide to play the political game and fall to the lies and deception of the NPP: they should check the promises made by the NPP before the 2000 elections, their record in government over 8 years, and see whether they were able to fulfill just 10% of those promises. Let them go ask the victims of Kumepreko demonstration against VAT, and they will be told that the NPP not only failed to repeal the VAT, but they even went ahead and increased it. This is the people we are talking about. President Mahama has been candid and truthful with the nurses, and even went ahead and said that the abated allowances being paid are only temporary until the nurses are put on the Student Loan Scheme. He is not doing politics with you unlike the Lying Nana, Bawumia and the NPP who are deliberately deceiving these gullible nurses just for Votes. Time will tell.

I now understand why the president said "Ghanaians have short memory, something that you were supposed to take GH 1,350.00 for the three months, instead of GH 450.00 for three months and you are jubilating that the allowance is restored. You have also forgetting that the government said he is working on the students loan scheme for you to get access to it and thereafter the allowances will be scrap again. Let your brain work the allowance is not restored but indirect way of sharing our taxpayers money for your vote. I tell you after January if this government continue to rule this country you will never receive it again until December October 2020
