The constitution of Ghana demand that when a sitting president dies his vice takes over. It's not in the constitution of any party in Ghana that after four or eight year mandate of the president his vice automatically becomes the next presidential candidate. So for John Mahamah to go about with the drivel that NPP did not allow Aliu Mahamah to succeed John Kuffuor shows the president as a fool or very much uninformed. Which is an insult to the sensibilities of Ghanaians.

Don't I have the right to call for change if a President, also a northerner has woefully failed to deliver. And also succeeded in making northern Ghana poorer than any President in Ghana? Is it not time to think Ghana rather than think tribal? One more humiliation of the north by JM, way too many. Now, get this, my second country or home does allow one to have both without renouncing the other or compromising one's citizenship in benefit of the other. However, there is a serious debate afoot before parliament to change that article in the law due to the recent widespread terrorist attacks known to all.

Those of us from the southern part of the country have always held our brothers and sisters from the north in very high esteem because of their high and unmatched moral uprightness but eight years of the presidency of John Mahama have eroded all that. They were not educated enough; most of them could not read or write but they were strong in their minds and spirit because they were close to the earth and knew what matters. Gone are the days when people had the wholeness of the spirit. Even in poverty they were able to live cleanly, with no shame and were able to meet every aspect of life with the same serene face. Not so now! If we oppress or manipulate those who are close to us, bribing and manipulating instead of asking honestly and negotiating for what we want, then it doesn't matter what we say, or how we vote.
Our politics is our lives: how we connect with one another, how we use resources, even how we think about things. We have deviated from who we once used to be. It's time to think about bringing our behavior back into agreement with the beliefs we once held in high esteem and all that which defined us. Change corrupt Mahama and restructure the values of society. Our world, our nation, is not a jungle to be hacked, cleared, or bulldozed. No one is free until we are all free, and, when free, we will find joy in our honest labors, at home, and with friends. We, too, will discover the measure of joy we encourage others to experience.
