When Mr Ablakwa was a Deputy Minister in the Mills administration, one of his relatives went to a media house and claimed that Mr Ablakwa was not using his position to help the relatives acquire wealth. The media house called him and mentioned what his relative had said. Mr Ablakwa, kind as he was, declined to make any comment stating that he would not discuss family matters with the media house. Instead of the media house praising him for being one of the trustworthy ministers we had, rather started stories about his wedding, house in America, etc, etc. In fact the media house 'threw mud' at Mr Ablakwa. Should we not celebrate such people in our country? No, I believe Mr Ablakwa is one of the very honest people in our country. We complain of corruption or to use General Mosguito's loaded word, DISHONESTY, yet we fail to encourage people to be honest. I think the Ghanain Media do not keep records otherwise on of them should have come to his aid or is it politics again.
