I can say with authority that NHIA owes providers more than 10 months due to no money syndrome. The funds to pay are not there. In 2008 payment were delayed for just 4 months and NDC use it as their campaign massage and look ...

I can say with authority that NHIA owes providers more than 10 months due to no money syndrome. The funds to pay are not there. In 2008 payment were delayed for just 4 months and NDC use it as their campaign massage and look today is over 10 months. For a fact no provider had been paid for their April 2016 claims, however, only private providers who are supporters of NDC had received payment for their March 2016 claims. The worse of it all is the centralization of the payment system where only few but NDC employed foot s. work on claims payment meanwhile we have a lot of competent accountant doing virtually nothing.

On other woose of NHIA is the high value of administrative expenses including salary because of job for the boys. A lot of people had been employed to the regional and head office who go to work every day just to read news papers and yet been paid every month. The most irritating part is the engagement of the so called consultants such as IT, M&E, communication and claims consultant among others and yet they have directors, deputies and managers for all these areas. The waste of funds in NHIA is too much. Just recently about 50 people had been employed as job for the boys. NHIS has no future in the hand of the current administration/managemen
