Merely using technicalities to cover a wrong is evil and a sin. The PTA is a guilty party. Instead of defending the rights of parents, it is rather sabotaging them. Since when did the parents of the in-coming students agree to pay the illegal fees? What has happens to the numerous contributions of the APSU. Right now, the parents should refuse to pay the illegal fees. The corrupt board has no place. As for the APSU Executive they are equally disgraceful lot. They are shielding a wrong doer. The over burdened parents must not be made to suffer. I applaud the GES and the Regional Education office for insisting on the right thing being done. No room for thieves, charlatans and corrupt people as either board, APSU executive or School owners. At any rate, it is the government that pays the salaries and running cost if the school, so no crooks can hide behind the PTA or board or APSU to cover criminal acts. No room for thieves as board members or APSU executive.

I personally don't see anything wrong with parents paying extra or donating 150 GH to the school for maintenance purposes. Old boys have donated to the school buses,washing bay,repairs to dinning hall, build extra houses etc etc just to maintain the school.Just for the love of it.Yet how much has GES given to this great school? I think I will now advice myself and former classmates including the APSU organization not to donate, contribute or pay any dues towards the school anymore and let GES and these ungrateful parents deal with it.
After all my children do not attend Augusco.I will contribute to whichever school my children attend.This stops here.

The fee was imposed and enforced. Donations can not be imposed on any group; that's a levy. No matter how this is twisted, the headmaster should have known better. Now, the PTA is sounding like the corrupt John Mahama.

I can say that if the school has to depend on only the money from the government for its activities none of the moaning parents would have taken their wards there. St Augustine's is not just a school, it is a club that the members strive to ensure high standards are met and maintined. Existing parents and APSU members have made their contribution in the past and over the years. It is only fair for new entrants into this privileged CLUB to make some contribution. After all most of the infrastructure needs are meant for the new comers. JUST LEAVE THE HEAD ALONE !!

They came with some photographs as propaganda tool. In any case the infrastructure they are talking about did the destruction started a month ago? In any case if any one should be levied it should be those already in the school not first year students who are just about to enter the school. This same thing happened in mfantsipim last year.was the headmaster not aware of the mfantsipim issue? The argument of the PTA is not personally reasonable. The GES should adhere to their own policy however the political twist to the issue is unwarranted. My take as a parent

As far as am concern the PTA should have gone through the right process and on that note PTA failed as one Professor said during the meeting
