1. The PNDC created the UWR after nearly 30 years of agitation for the creation of the region. The people of UWR vote "thank you"

2. For the first time in 50 year the people of the UWR were connected to the national grid and the NPP strongly opposed it in parliament claiming this was not "an economic venture". The people vote "thank you NDC"
Other thinks that make the people vote the NDC are the following.
3. Tarred road from Wa to Tinga.
4. Kuffour's insult that "there is no one qualified enough" from the UWR to be in the NPP-led cabinet.
5. Feeder roads across the region during the time of late Edward Salia and the Minister for Roads and Transport.
6. First class road from Sawla to Fufulso thus making travel between Tamale and Wa which used to take 10 solid hours but now only 3-4 hours.
7. The following new Secondary schools: Kaleo Sec-Tech, Nadowli, Takpo, Charikpong, Daffiama, Jirapa, Ko, Piina, Lambisie, Gbollu and Tumu Sec-Tech, Wa Polytechnic.
8. 250 Clinics since 1992. Between 2001-2008 not a single clinic was build in the region.
9. The Northern Rural Growth Project in the region.
10. Many lEAP beneficiaries.

Akufo Addo is very funny. Is he telling us that he doesn,t know why they have rejected the npp under his leadership? Yes, they were with Kufour alright because Kufour respected them and till, as human beings with a sort of equal right, even if they did not get what they rigtly deserved. Kufour and his men did not called them names as such, and they did not regret some of them went to school to acquire education. Can the same be said under Akufo Addo,s leadership, when it has become a crime for northerners to have educations? Akufo Addo and his Akyem ex-convicted drug criminals would rather they follow cows, to acquiring education. Sadly, they have a so called vice presidential candidate from the north, whose conscience they have bought with a peanut, and are using him to divide the north for their selfish interest. The npp should thank their star if they are able to get even that 30% this time again. I may not support the president for obvious reasons, but it is a big disgrace for me, for somebody to feel superior, and refer to a president from the north, as good only for herding cattle. These are the words of Akufo Addo,s Akyem family members. You will never be president of this peaceful country, no matter what you did.

The problem is the NPP'S believe in what they call 'done deal' and refuse to vote as well as their agents not being vigilant. Aside these both the 2008 and 2012 results would've been different.
