There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

The government's lackadaisical attitude to enforcing the Supreme Court's judgment is ample evidence of the grand collusion to rip Ghanaians off.

Mahama and his cohorts are telling us to applaud them for a 4 million GHS check given to them by Woyome.

What they've failed to tell Ghanaians is that even if Woyome gives Ghana GHS51 million today, It would mean he is giving us $13.3M as against the $42M he took from Ghana in 2010.

He should be made to pay the money back at today's exchange rate with interest.

Another intriguing issue that's been ignored is the claim that all of his accounts that were attached yielded less than 200,000 Ghana Cedis. If that's the case, which account is the 4 million Ghana Cedis check drawing from?

Mahama and his band of thieves must go!

How could the Mahama Administration be so stupid to enter into any such contract with Woyome, the man who dubiously took the Nation's money and wouldn't refund it even after the Supreme Court ruled he should?

If this latest scandal proves true, every Official that signed a single paper at any stage of the process for the approval of the Contract must be jailed.

The contract must immediately be revoked and the Officials sacked and jailed. It sad to say the Mahama Administration cannot keep its hands clean ever, and thinks it is immune to prosecution and can get away with all kinds of fraud.

This contract is nothing but a backdoor track to allow Woyome keep his share of the original booty of the stolen GHC51 Million.

If Mahama claims he was not aware of this deal, too, he should immediately order the AG to round up all Officials in his Administration implicated in this case for prosecution.

Ghanaians are not stupid to be so cavalierly taken advantage of. Going into the Elections, the Security Agencies must ensure private Jet of the President's brother is grounded and no relative or surrogates of the President is allowed to travel abroad immediately after the Elections.

If the President loses the Elections he may slip out of the country fearing the likelihood of being forced to testify against some of his own Officials that could be implicated in various acts of corruption.

Ghana has bleed enough funds into the pockets of these thieves. Enough is enough!!

We should back the OccupyGhana movement to get to the bottom of this deal and retrieve any unwarranted, dubious payments from it and also get the culprits all prosecuted. As for Woyome, this deal should be enough to establish his guilt in defrauding Ghana even in the first case with the GHC 51 Million. He should have long been in Jail.

It is such a shame unto the President to supervise such a gross insensitive looting of our funds while millions of people languish in abject poverty.

Meanwhile, it must be looked into what kind of relationships exist among Woyome and his fellow NDC folks in the Mahama Administration who have any clout to impact such a contract. I smell nepotism, here, too. This case and our long list of corruption activities in Government must not devolve into tribalism, but there seems to be a persistent streak of cover-ups and resistance by folks of similar backgrounds with suspects to prosecute or even retrieve from them State assets that are fraudulently managed by these suspects.
