NDC HATE ZONGO AND ANGLO COMMUNITIES WITH PASSION
After 19 years of P/NDC rule they could not construct even 1cm of tarred road in Koforidua Zongo even though these zongo people have faithfully been voting for the Akatamanso. What about Koforidua Anglo Town? The same shameful story was replicated. In less than two years of Kufuor's administration, the Water works-Zongo-Anglo Town- Minyila stretch of road was constructed yet the NDC succeeded in deceiving the Zongo people that Kufuor did not do anything for them.
When Atta Mills came to power in 2009, they hurriedly went to Anglo Town to clear some places claiming that they were also going to
construct roads in Anglo Town and in the process, they destroyed people's shops and businesses but they weren't able to construct a centimeter of road in Anlo Town. A lady, called Agie, who lost her business because of the hurried demolition has gone blind till date out of shock. Many other victims have relocated to Accra to practice odd jobs and some of the boys have left the country to North Africa through the dessert. This is how destructive NDC could be to Zongo and Anglo communities.

Unfortunately, the security personnel in Ghana don't know how to control crowds -- you have so many past presidents and dignitaries in one place without the necessary security force/training to keep calm. This could happen anywhere in an election year -- I blame the lack of security, scrutiny of the crowd and clear instructions of what could cause an eviction of an attendee from the funeral. How did folks even get guns past security or were there no metal detectors to screen attendees?
Human beings are the same every where including the US, without the right security system in place to calm and control crowds, many gatherings would be just like what happened in Kumasi or even worse.

I hope the Police question him about bringing a gun to such a gathering.

Everything is down to the police but they are not doing anything. Their failure to act will force people to take the law into their hands to protect themselves. Ghana Police, please let us see how good you are in these trying times!!

Whether there is peace or trouble before, during and after the elections now depends on how well the police conduct themselves which would show how desciplined our police are.

Alex Amanor, bodyguard of ex-President Rawlings who was accused of allegedly pulling a gun last Sunday at the Akwasidae celebration of the chiefs and people of Asante, and consequently manhandled by state security detail, has debunked the accusation and called his attackers liars.

He was speaking on HOT 93.9 FM’s morning show, Maakye in Accra, where show host Frimpong Manso Adakabre asked him what may have prompted him to pull a gun in a crowded environment such as the celebration of Akwasidae, a traditional festival that marks the end of the Asante calendar year.

Amanor described the accusation as a blatant lie, calling the incident unfortunate and shameful. The perpetrators, he said brought shame to a noble occasion as well as the occupier of the Golden Stool, the King of Asante.

Speaking in Twi, he wondered why with all their professional training, the security guards would choose to tell lies about a bad deed gone bad, and added if it was true he pulled and pointed a gun at President Kufuor, the first option for any trained security would have been to ‘finish’ him (Amanor) instantly.

Media reports following the incident accused him of attempting to assassinate the President, but he said neither did his attackers arrest him or interrogate him for a crime as serious as they charge him with.

He ended his narration with a caution; That no one goes to a funeral of dwarfs and seeks to perform magical feats.
