This is the subject of the Cultural Theory of Devt which white people have put fwd to explain the lack of human capital devt, collapse of public infrastructure, positive change in Africa since the 1960s and positive change in other parts of the world since then.

If it had not been for political expediency that a sitting president wants to be seen always as the sole person working for the people, why a local project such as a solid waste processing plant's inauguration should have called for the presence of a sitting president of the whole Ghana?
And why all those European ambassadors have to be there? Well, they also cheapening themselves to be seen as the ones giving us loans for these little projects. These loans are between them and Zoom Lion and probably other local operators like AMA.
Enough of these cheapness on the side of EU officials and the Presidency has to stop.
Next time, they the oyinbo should learn to set their cheap ass down after giving these small loans for local projects. Their influence peddling to the Ghanaian populace in order to be "loved" is their problem too and the president probably hates it hence the treatment met to them.

If the country is to move forward, one of the poignant issues to address is time management. It is not only the 'dumsor' that is causing problem. All the developed countries know this and practise it. If someone is late to a function, he/she often offers an apology and try not to repeat it. It is not the same in Ghana. A person who is always late has the problem of organising himself. And if you cannot organise yourself, how can you manage an organisation? The NDC party has become the most undisciplined, most violent, most unfocussed, most corrupt, most incompetent political organization ever witnessed in this 4th Republic under John Mahama.

If diplomat don't complain when waiting for US president or the Queen then they should get out; after all they came for a bilateral bid.
