To say the professor's statement is controversial, is an understatement. For a VC of a professional institute to make a statement like this for a president who has run the Ghanaian economy into the ground is unfortunate, brown-nosing, to say the least.
To make such a glowing statement about JDM, knowing for sure, the only reason he embarked on his so-called infrastructure program, was to get the chance to over-inflate contract sums and siphon billions of Cedis from Ghana and share with his cabal.
To say Mahama is the best president, Ghana has ever had, is an insult to all living and dead presidents. We have leaders like Nkrumah, Busia and Liman who never stole from us and the Rawlings who has publicly acknowledged that he took $2M from Abacha, and Mahama who has presided over the looting – SADA, GEEDA, Woyome, Mass Transit branding etc.
I am very glad that I never stepped into IPS (now UPSA) and that the Good Lord gained me admission to the School of Administration (UG Business School as it is called now). You have brought shame to the thousands of fellow Ghanaians who studied at that institution. Now I am wondering, what kind of edubits they consumed there if such a man could be their VC

I am appalled that such a so-called educated man, can ignore the loads of facts in the public domain about JDM and declare him as the best president.
Why JDM is the worse president:
• debt to GDP ratio over ~70%
• interest to Domestic Revenue ratio at 31%
• over 3 years of dumsor
• destruction of the cedi from 1:1 relationship with the dollar to GHC4.00 to the dollar
• borrowing 10 times more than the beginning balance at Jan 1/2009
• destruction of the National Health Insurance
• Destruction of the School feeding program
• destruction of the cocoa spraying program
• destruction of maternal care
• fans tribal sentiments in response to his opponents reasoned analysis
• Record debt levels
• Record depreciation of the Ghanaian Cedi
• Record levels of corruption or perceptions of it, without any noticeable corrections
• vindictiveness of Pres Mahama against some prior NDC family members – Kwabena Agyei, ex-Chairman of the party
• sleeping on the job when it comes to dumsor, letting this phenomenon last over 3 years, solving it incompetently by over-burdening Ghanaians with large monthly bills
• abandoning the social democratic and probity principles of the NDC party by destroying specific social intervention programs by starving them of funds, while he siphons millions from Ghana
• sheltering Corrupt officials in the presidency

Mahama has tried and given us power upgrade, road transformation, Nkrumah circle/interchange, Karsoa, built and renovated schools and hospitals etc. Mahama did not put money in the populace pockets, and Ghanaians are saying the country is hard. If they vote him out they will regret later and honour him some years to come. We should be wise and let Mahama finish his full term in office. Not that he has not got his problems or mistakes. Ghanaians must not only think about their stomachs.
