As I understand it, party agents would sign the pink sheet to confirm the results at each counting centre. It would expected that these agents would transmit these results to their respective party offices without waiting for the EC's certification and announcement. So it is possible for parties to know the outcome of the election. However, what is wrong is wrong and irresponsible for any party to announce the results before EC did.
