In less than a month the old administration would pave way for the new administration. It is therefore important for the incoming team to prepare adequately for the switch. There must be extensive communication between the outgoing and incoming within the next 25 days to ensure that governance continues flawlessly after January 7. Future elections must be held in November so that there would be enough time for the transition. Today is just the initiation of the process. Akufo-Addo must quickly name ministers-designate for key positions within the next few days. At least 2 a week.

As Amoaku Baah has rightly observed money will be in short supply and Rawlings can simply not run the party on boom speeches and empty self praise. He would need the nuveau rich in the party of the Mahamas, Haruna Idrisus, Ayarigas,and Ahwois to keep the party machinery oiled. Forget of Nana Konadu. If Mahama refuses to stand, then the Trade Minister may be the best bet as he is liked by the Rawlingses. One thing though, NPP will soon discover Ghanaians are not prepared to keep one party in power for more than two terms. NDC woud soon be back.

But such a predicament which inevitably faces the NDC will not be for lack of monetary resources to finance their future campaigns, because members and cronies the outgoing Mahama administration have indeed stolen billions of dollars from the national treasury and siphoned same into their private pockets and offshore bank accounts, which under the incoming NPP government, Ghanaians would expect Nana Addo and his team of managers to set up the legal and prosecutorial framework to retrieve all Ghana's stolen monies and booties. Also l don't expect Ghanaians will forget so soon the brazen corruption visited on us for the past two terms of the NDC create loot and share maladministraion.
