The president of course is like a director or a CEO. His main job at the moment is to surround himself with competent selfless people who can work together to deliver the campaign promises and that is the key.
My suggestion is for him to take portfolios from wannabe cabinet minister with a full report as to what they intend to do or the way they seem fit to push the nation forward. One doesn't have to be a med doctor to head the ministry of health, say, but to have a good business mind of how best health can be provided to the people of Ghana at affordable cost and with policies in place to produce competent nurses and doctors in good numbers as well as a way forward to run the national health insurance scheme so hospitals have money to run and people have hospitals to go to and are able to afford health care. Tts all in planning and policies. Ministries got to work together and be accountable. The people of Ghana and especially journalists and lawyers should take politicians to task and ask questions and inquire. Not because somebody is a minister he/she uses equipment and resources of the ministry for their personal gratification. That kinda nonsense should stop. I am confident Ghana has the manpower in terms of qualifications and know-how to run the country. People just got to be selfless and accountable.
