The NDC national campaign coordinator, Mr. Adamu Kotokoli, could partially be blamed for the humiliating defeat of the party, in which "the NPP trashed the ruling party by about one million votes and also won majority of the parliamentary seats", as a result of the incompetence of Mr. Kotokoli and the incompetence and corruption of Mr. Mahama himself and that of all the "babies with sharp teeth' he appointed.

However, the real reason for the party's "painful defeat" is their undemocratic ways that have largely been exposed by the NPP party, and was able to block most of the channels NDC had been using to rig the elections. The world has changed so much and NDC must also change with it, and not continue to rely on rigged elections to rule Ghanaians

Notwithstanding his cancer, cardiovascular disease, and other chronic debilitating conditions in his old age, Akufo Addo was pumped with medications to undergo the stress of the grueling campaign across the length and breath of Ghana. My sense is that this has seriously affected his already fragile health. Given the harsh socio-economic conditions of our neocolony that is so saddled with debt from the World Banf and IMF, I wonder if he will be able to handle the stress of the looming strikes, agitations, and insults that will be vented from the fury of the electorate when the high expectations of Ghanaians that he had amplified, do not materialize. I have this sense, in that regard, that the Atta MILLS SITUATION MIGHT BE REPEATED IN THE NPP AND A NORTHENER WILL ONCE AGAIN ASCEND THE THRONE OF GHANA.
