The world has changed so much since then and NDC must also change with it, and not continue to rely on rigged elections to rule Ghana.

We have been here before. We have heard this talking before. We heard these predictions in Parliament by the Senior Minister in kuffour Government Mr JH Mensah. After the elections he promised the NPP were going to prosecute and jail majority of the NDC officials that the party would collapse and disappear completely. That did not happen. Despite the ungodly jailing of some NDC officials the Party came back to bloody the nose of NPP in the 2008 elections. So never say 'Never again'. The NDC would definitely be back.

The bit of the president campaigning by air was spot on. The NDC and for that matter incumbent Governments never learn. It was the same if not worse in 2000, when Jerry Rawlings deployed two helicopters for campaigns one for himself the other for his Vice the late Prof Mills. Yet they still lost the elections. Enter NPP in 2008. The long convoys following President Kuffour and Nana Addo were an too insulting to the ordinary Ghanaian. To these add the chain of Metro buses carrying supporters from one constituency to another and the fleet of so called celebrities and musicians on campaign platforms making illogical statements. That is what is called incumbency. No incumbent Government can park their V8s and engage in house to house campaign. It is just not possible. The President may have to separate official functions from party events and stop using state resources. But that too is extremely difficult and risky. Trust me all this would be repeated by NPP in the 2020 elections, there might be some moderation but those complaining now would sooner than later be helping themselves to V8s and all the other pecks that come with political office.

The NDC researchers about the defeat should go round where they have constructed some roads and bridges and they will see these things for themselves. Some of us had been very worrying seeing those things happening. Nepotism and extreme partisnaship colours in public sector wasn't pleasant. Besides, tribalism in terms of employment was so much in the regime.

Targeting perceived NPP members who are competent and experience by transferring them here and there just to frustrate them to resign. They employed people and back date it to enable them get huge back pay which are shared among themselves. There was a deputy director (NDC member ) who employed people who were doing their national service put them on the pay Roll, received salary higher than officers with 6yrs experience. Those involved did money order of 20% of the monthly salary to the deputy director each month for 3 years. The nephew of the former CEO was put on NHIA pay roll whilst doing his national service. He received NSP allowance in full as well as full officer's salary at NHIA. The rot at NHIA must be investigated as soon as possible.
