Thanks to JJ and hegemony /tribalism we are divided and do not waste your energy trying to unite us like Mills did but rather respect our diversity and let each look after their own without any hindrance from others.It is time to accept reality and call a spade a spade , we shall never be united. Their idea of unity means we are to deny who we are while they can say we are Ewes , Northerners but if you say you are Akan then you are evil. we Akans will never again be discriminated against in our own country , now we shall even the score as we can also say our time has come. We shall not tolerate the neglect of Akan areas development in favor of northern or Ewe areas through elaborate sophisticated schemes such as GYEEDA SADA or whatever nonsense these criminals can think of. We shall now encourage the return and integration of our over 10 million strong diaspora and their capital to rebuild our nation. We shall encourage the ewes and northerners to secede and form their own states/country so we place international borders between our peoples and try to be constructive neighbors instead of this situation that only creates hatred resentment and tribalism mixed with hegemony.Yes its time table these issues as if one views the distribution of votes we see Nana this time got the support of the united Akan and all others gave support to the criminal mahama led ndc . If both sides are right then we need to consider a confederation or outright separate states and organize a peaceful referendum to that effect just like Czechoslovakia did , no need to break up in the throes of war and violence as the secession is inevitable. Lets not allow the deterioration into war as we see in Somalia , Syria ,Iraq , Yugoslavia and soon Turkey. Akans have a different set of moral values virtues and aspirations than the rest so we should enable them their own freedom to pursue their destiny. We should reinstate to votes rights to all our diaspora as where-ever they are the share in the hopes and aspirations of the Akan desire for development and jobs. We shall pursue to the ends of the earth all these corrupt criminal ndc and including Kuffour JJ Rawlings Afoko and whatever (criminals hiding behind politics )have you for their treachery , betrayal and exploitation of Akan wealth as a deterrent to future wannabe mafia criminals. i am surprised these police did not condemn attacks and destruction of Akan businesses politicians families and individuals yet come out because of one fire and say widespread attacks? Togbe, how I come to you but you cannot come to me and what does that mean? It means I am not good as I do not open myself to receive my fellow Ghanaian and that is how the situation is. There are people who have so many tales to tell but in this 21st century, it is about time we move past some past those tales. Some will recall what took place between Victor Owusu and Dr. Agama but I do not buy that. Others too will mentioned Busia and a whole lot but at the end of the day, those days are gone and we have to move on as one people with one common destiny.

Some researches have to investigate and report on the dynamics that led to settler communities like Zongo and Anloga in Kumasi. Whether or not Ashantis excluded Ewes or Ewes secluded themselves is a question that is begging for answers. What I know is that, in Toronto, Canada, for example, the first few Ghanaian settlers congregated at Jane/Finch area. When their friends and family joined them later, they naturally came to Jane and Finch. In time, we had a huge congregation of Ghanaians in this area. We could have called Jane/Finch area Ghanatown. Indeed, there's Chinatown in Toronto due to the same phenomenon that I describe.

As it was with the descendants of Joseph when they were given permission to settle in Goshen in Egypt so it is with other tribes who chose to settle in the Ashanti Kingdom and enjoy its hospitality. Hence the ethnic settlements like Moshie Zongo, Enzema line, Fante New Town, Sofo line, Kotei, Zamrama line etc. It wasn't by accident or sheer coincidence that we have Anloga and by extension, Anlo-Fante New Town. It was allocated to them all by the overlords of the Kingdom. To buttress my point, remember when Prez KUfuor was expanding the road at Oforikrom as per the main Kumasi-Accra road, he practically had to re-settle the Anlo-Ayigbe people living in the area. Otumfuor gave them somewhere to settle. They could have been compensated to find alternate accommodations but to preserve their unity, they were re-settled. Ashantis have never found living in harmony with Ewes as a problem.

Most of the private sector businesses owned by rich Ashantes, have employed people from all ethnic groups, including Ewes. Even in Libya where people are been slaughtered on daily basis black folks still troop in there in hopes of making it.

If any of the cities such as Ho, Wa, Tamale, Kintampo or any smaller city had the same opportunity as Kumasi and Accra I bet you many will troop in there. On the other hand there are many people with Akans origins in Ho who are original to the region living in peace with their Ewe neighbors.

This very well educated Chief was quoted soon after NDC regained power after in 2009 that "under Kuffuor regime Ewes were made feel like foreigners in Ghana". A ver fangerous remark especially coming from a highy respected traditional ruler who had personally benefited a lot under Kuffuor govt. We thank God that Togbe now realises we are all Ghanaians. Places like Worawora, Addo Nkwanta, Asukawkaw, Dormabin, Kparekpare are worthy examples in this regard. It is one of the reasons why NPP relatively does well in the Northern parts of the Volta region. In these areas, just as I suspect happens in 'Anloga' in Ashanti land, locals live closely and in peace and harmony too. What's more, a town like Peki, where I hail from, is the epitome of last vestiges of Ewe-Ashanti cooperation, as it were. You'll see a reflection of this in the last names most indegenes bear: Osei, Donkor, Asamoah, Addo, Peprah, Brempong..., for instance. Step out of your comfort zone, meet new people, learn bout new cultures. Being obtuse-minded is the worst thing you can do to yourself, especially as young person. When you experience racial hatred abroad and you return home to Ghana, trust me, you wouldn't mind the ethnic origin of the girl you're dating, your neighbour and the like. Let's just all get along.

He led a silimar delegation to see the Ashanti hene and later Okyenhene. It seems this was when he ascended tne throne.
Togbe I feel is very non-partisan but rather a progressive person.
These are tne kind of people we need to build this moderrn Ghana. A Ghana where we talk about tribes only when we are reffering to mother tongue. A new Ghana where we are all one people.
I believe this is the dream of the incoming Government. A new chapter in the history of our dear country.

The chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kofi Portuphy, has urged party supporters to defend themselves whenever they are attacked by supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

NDC supporters and sympathizers have reportedly come under severe attacks from some elements within the NPP after the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition was declared winner at the just ended elections.

Addressing a press conference in Accra on Thursday, Mr. Portuphy said in all 19 attacks have been perpetuated by the supporters of the NPP on the NDC and must be condemned.

On Saturday, December 10, a few hours after Nana Akufo-Addo’s confirmation as winner of the 2016 election, some party faithful stormed some public toilets manned by staff of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), seized the keys to the facilities, assaulting some persons in the process.

Mr. Portuphy has called on the leadership of the NPP to restrain its supporters from the attacks on its members.

“The hooliganism is still continuing, people have been sacked from their homes, respect us a little, it’s not fair. The security agencies are doing well to bring peace to bear on our society but does not prevent us from bringing to the attention of Ghanaians and the international community that these are criminal acts and must be stopped”.

The NPP has since condemned the act.

Dear Ghanaians, let's take the utterances of Togbe in good faith. Even though he might have contributed to the mistrust between these two tribes after Kuffuor left office, he as a leader seeks to help break up the mistrust through deepening friendship, which actually exists in many fields already (marriage, school, workplace, etc) and together help fight poverty and deprivation in our country. A try is worth it.
