The threat of an election backlash is over and so the newly elected MP, Okoe Vandapuije can carry out all the actions that needed to be done but which he was afraid to do. I wish all public servants can adopt this attitude. Well done. There would be elections of MMDCEs under NPP regime and I wish the Hon Mayor could have contested the MCE position instead of being an MP, so he could carry out his 'revolution' in Accra to a logical conclusion. Anyway, well done, you are my man, no nonsense, damn politics.

Oko by all standard is a very good Mayor who has the city at heart but his party did not make him work. Oko use these few days to do what you could not do.....and am sure the npp would applaud you......

There was this story if a die-hard NDC Student Activist who completed University and who lives in Accra.He went out one morning looking for a job and because it was elusive, he decided to return home.To the shock of his life, Oko Vanderpuje and his marauding gangs had razed his father's house to the ground. This sums up Oko's tenure as the Mayor of Accra. When Adolf Hitler's army was defeated in their attempt to capture the Black Sea Port of Sevastopol in the Crimea, Russia, during the Second World War, he ordered the rest to return but in their retreat, adopt a "scorched-earth" policy(Verbrannte Erde in German)Everything was to be destroyed in their way: railway lines, buildings, human beings, animals, everything! That is what Oko is doing now. I have been voting for the NDC since 1992, but this year l decided to abstain. The" butcher of Accra" being one of the reasons.
