It is unfortunate that Ghana has an environment of lawlessness, which has been fostered by the NDC government. It is a criminal act every time someone attacks you whether for political or personal reasons. The Police Service and Attorney General's office and the judges ought be acting and doing so vigorously. Except the politicians have contaminated the whole process. If you are am MP, and you get a call from one of your supporters who has been arrested for attacking a member of the political opposition, you must stay out of the case.i am not NDC and I think Portuphy's statements are the height of irresponsibility. We have such reckless men at the helm of affairs. Nevertheless, NDC people should defend themselves. The Police, whose job it is to keep the peace, are not doing their jobs. The climate in Ghana, is still volatile and charged. Things can spin out of control, and we have enough stupid people to fuel any potential fire. Centrifugal forces are spinning still, even with the end of the elections. We must all be careful in what we say and what we do.

It's a very simple nugget of biblical wisdom. If NDC did it in 2008, knowing it was wrong, or did they think it was right then, and it is being done to them, maybe albeit in a very small by the opposition, as compared to what they are suffering from their own NDC members, what is the compliant here??? I just don't get it.
When NDC talks like this they make things difficult for everybody going by the biblical teachings. I think they should resolve to stop this needless and unnecessary noise and address the civil war in their party where some members of their party are calling for leaders of their party to be killed and all that, and leave the NPP out of it.
And they should learn that those biblical teachings have applications in real life. Don't do it or do it and get a response.
In the scientific world, physics precisely, Newton's third law of motion describes it perfectly. To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. An action taken by NDC in 2008 does not mean there will not be a reaction.
So let's all learn that such conduct does not help anybody, at all. Just don't do it, don't. It's a very simple matter.

During this past elections, he was on a beating and killing spree under the eagle eyes of John Mahama and John Kudalor. Were there no police in Ghana? Was that NDC rule? It was reported that John Mahama's security goons beat a 60 year old man in the Ashanti region to a pulp because he was doing the change sign when Mahama was campaigning in the region. Where was the police? Didn't hear you calling for the peace council and religious bodies? Didn't hear you calling for civil society groups. Didn't hear you calling for John Kudalor the head of the police service and the IGP to act.
I have heard the President-elect even before he has been sworn in issue a very strongly worded statement to the IGP to arrest and prosecute anybody be it NPP or NDC involved in these attacks, even before he has been sworn in. I repeat I have heard the President-elect issue a very strongly worded statement to the IGP to act and accost anybody involved in these attacks be it NPP or NDC, even before he has been sworn in.
What I have not heard from John Mahama is to ask for a situation report on the state of affairs after a statement purportedly coming from him was released by Omane Boamah. What I have not heard from the Vice President who is the chairman of the police council is a statement as to what the IGP should be doing and a situation report, after the fact.
And in the absence of that, what Ghanaians and the world have heard is the Chairman of the NDC party calling for violence, chaos and anarchy in this country.
I am more certain Ghana and the world will feel much safer under the incoming NPP gov't led by President William Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo than Mahama, Amissah-Arthur, Kudalor and Portuphy combined.
That is why Ghanaians voted for the NPP and that is why the NDC will stay in opposition for quite a while. There is absolutely nothing to see here and NDC should prepare to stay in opposition for sometime. They have it all wrong.
