A bit of investigative journalism would have brought more facts such as police involvement etc. to make it more believable. Ask more questions to get the facts from the narrator/reporter. While the story is possible, it lacks credibility. This is the age of technology and social media and people are creating all sorts of news for all sorts of reasons. Do a better job next time to help us believe what you say.

The Journalist should not have classified the boy friend abroad as 'Libyan'. He is not! That gives a very negative image of Libyans which, at least from this story, is not true!
For those who doubt that the story is true, that village exists so there is no problem finding out whether this actually happened. Unless you have something special against Ghanaweb, don't sit in your Sofa in your dirty Living Room and pour scorn on everything. Ekomdeboy, to put Ghanaweb to shame, do your own investigation. Go to the village and interview people and the police to see if Ghanaweb is taking everyone for a ride! We would be waiting to read your report otherwise Just Keep your Beaks Shut!
