If you can't pay teachers and nurses and take their allowances away then how do you expect to win? NPP should focus on improving the well being of the people. If they do, they will win again.

Teachers/nurses trainee allowance, zongo funds, free SHS and tax reduction alone will have serious consequences on the economy. Then comes free NHIS, free factories in every district, free irrigation dams in over 5000 villages, free Kayaye hostels, reduced utility/energy bills, reduced fuel prices and several other free free things that are so much. All these will come against reduced tax and VAT. How will funds be raised to cater for all these numerous promises only NPP knows. I just hope that Ghana will not be turned into drugs hub where drugs will be turning into kokote like it happened under Kuffour. God save us!

The teacher trainee allowance was an incentive to encourage people to become teachers during the Post Colonial era. Is it the situation today.? Why was it stopped during the N.L.C regime led by Afrifa? We need to support policies than politicking. Unless I am told that there are different types of Tertiary institutions. Whereby one is qualifies for both SSNIT LOAN and allowances while the other takes only SSNIT Loan. Polytechnics and University students should revert to the cafeteria system and bursaries from the Government. Fight for your right. You do National Service queue up for jobs and someone who enjoys allowances and job after school. I hope there will not be quotas for us to have empty classroom as was with the allowances period, for my child who qualifies must be taken.

It is possible to engage with in recurrent expenditure and suspend all ongoing projects and refusing to start new ones. This way all the little money generated in the country will be used to pay the few but vocifirous workers on Govt payroll. There will be peace in the country. But there would be stagnation. Nothing else would work.

Allowance with the qoata system or the current intake?
9000 students use to be admitted nationwide with allowance.
15000 students admitted nationwide without allowance.

This is cheap propaganda which will not get anywhere......
We have come far as a country having moved form low income to middle income earning status and it s high time we get rid of such lazy benefits..
The trainees should be made to access student loans just as all other students do
