I cannot identify myself, for security reasons, but l can assure you that nobody has raised even a finger at any staff member at this embassy. Though we wished the NDC party should have won the election, we are not scared about the incoming NPP government, after all we work for the government of Ghana and not a particular party. The only person who appears to be more shaken is our Ambassador, Alhaji Said Sinare, due to his political appointment. He has however, confuted himself with dignity despite the shocking defeat. Please disregard the false story of Radio Gold because they are found of spewing lies all the time.

During the time they had ABSOLUTE control over Ghana, several human beings disappeared without a trace. The NPP has a history that includes what can be described as "terrorism" by its predecessor organisations. There are thugs and varying and assorted criminals in both parties. I will caution the people who do stupid things in Saudi Arabia. The Saudis do not play. If you are in Saudi Arabia, and you commit a crime, you are liable to have your head cut off! Literally! This particular Ambassador was very partisan but democracy also demands RESTRAINT. We all have only one Ghana. We have to develop respect for each other. When the NDC the last time around, NDC thugs did similar things. NDC hooligans are the ones who 'shot bomb' people's houses and offices. That does not mean the other parties should do the same. My first instinct when I hear these reports, is to think personal scores are being settled but the unity and peace of the country is at stake. We must ALL be careful.

There is a research that suggested fear of crime, does it result in defensive action? If you fear to be a victim of crime what would you do? Media should be critical of informations they bring to the public attention. Majority of people depend on the media for information. So any information in media suggest it is most often than not true. If some information comes out to be untrue then one will say media has mispresented information which is tantamount to fuel crime and crime. What is crime then? The definition of crime must have elements of law, sociology or if you like social sciences and criminology. The police should work closely with the media to neutralize any fear of crime. The public must have confidence in the police, give leading informations to the police. Without information policing becomes difficult. Long live Ghana
