Sunyani is the victim of our political discrimination, in regard to infrastructure developments they have been left out for so long not only under Ndc, but under former President kufour's govt too. Simply because they don't have a mouthpiece to demand their share of the national cake. The distribution of infrastructure developments is unfairly distributed which is bad for the country and Brong Ahafo for that matter is always the loser. Until Sunyani gets it's share of infrastructure developments Brong Ahafo region will maintain its status as swing region till we find a partner in one of this two parties who is ready to help Sunyani and region to develop. Ho, under Ndc got their share of the national cake. New university was built, new airport, upgrade of the regional hospital, ashalt roads and etc and under former President kufour's govt a lot was given to them. One should ask what did Sunyani the regional capital got from the said parties? nothing. Sunyani needs a modern sports studium, modern market, library, technical school, housing, factory, a brand new university, modern airport, ashalt roads, upgrade of the regional hospital, proper nursing school, upgrade to metropolitan and a lot more to talk about.

It has always been the case that NDC rigs the elections. Now it's time for NDC to stop thinking about rigging the elections because it won't happen again. They should rather think of stopping the over indulgence of propaganda and stealing so they can warm themselves back into the hearts of the Ghanaian electorate.

When the airport idea was brought up, I made a suggestion that the location was a misplaced priority but who listened? The road leading to Ho the Volta regional capital is a still single track road. If you respect and consider a region your world bank, wont you take better care of them? The eastern corridor road has not seen the light of day. But other region where the NDC does not get votes were developed. At least some people in the NDC who have taken the Volta region for granted for many years will now learn. From Akatsi and Abor, many roads leading southwards have all been neglected. No single development can be mentioned there and this is the very area the speaker of Parliament is coming from. People in those areas are wallowing in poverty. I mean, the NDC took the Volta Region for granted for many years and I think it was right for people from the Volta Region to stay at homes and not vote. The Adomi bridge renovation took too long than expected and you think people have short memories? The Volta Region only get promises that never gets fulfilled but other areas that don't vote for the ndc gets things done for them. Its a shame the party lost but some lessons are there for all to be careful next time.

You are trying to take his comments out of context,he is not saying it was wrong to develop Ashanti but he should have equally done the same thing there or more,the NDC has all over the years neglected that part of the country and you can see that as compare to other regions when the president went on the so called accounting to the people tour there was nothing to inaugurate in the Volta region so they had to inaugurate uncompleted so called Eastern Corridor road which is not even a quarter completed.
When it comes to Voltarians we ignorantly limit it to only the Volta region forgeting that we have a very large population living outside the region perhaps more than living in the region who may always vote the same way their kids vote but this year either decided not to vote or or vote for NPP, I know many friends who decided to vote for NPP instead of NDC.

Going to inaugurate airport that has no building was an insult to the people,you expect the people to vote for you in their numbers displaying the projects you have undertaken in other areas while their areas are not included, do you think they are stupid,how will the projects in other communities convince them to vote for you,if your regional minister can foolishly say the people are being ungrateful not to appreciate the various development projects you have undertaken in the region when they cannot see the projects do you think they will vote for you?
NDC probably shot itself on the foot when they displayed those projects on social media which others who don't have it took as an insult,a mockery,they failed also to energize their base,instead of spending more time in their strongholds the president chose to be spending more time in Kumasi than where he could get more votes, having parties with Asantehene dancing together,very funny.

An airport is a long term project which even a lunatic knows makes a economic sense when one is built,it creates job and it makes travelling easier for all not only the people living in the area.
Now that it is easy to find out much about the world I will advise you to google to find out which country is Lome to find out why that airport is not conducive for the Volta region and also find out how airports are spread all over the world with some even about five miles radius.
I believe London alone has 5 major airports with the US having airports than taxi ranks and lorry parks combined in West Africa if not the entire Africa.
Check them out,not difficult to do.

I believe even in Ghana you know we have airport in Kumasi but there is another one in Obuasi.

I will love to have at least 3 airports in every region,one or two is not enough, Ho airport is great,my only problem is its location,it should have been pushed further south where the population is, where the business is but it is better than nothing.

Did the Volta Chiefs not say openly that "We have had our fair share of Infrastructural Developments under this government?. How many other regions in Ghana can boast of these same infrastructural developments under the NDC?. The Upper West Region lacks a common X'ray machine for its Regional Hospital, this same NDC government has made propaganda of a New Regional Hospital under construction since 2010, deceiving the people all the time. The Volta Region within a year had 2 Universities under the NDC. There is only one University for the whole 3 regions of the North. What didn't Pres. Kuffuor do for the Volta Region?, and yet the Volta Region cannot be satisfied. Should it always be about the Volta Region?, Please Ghana needs a break from this tribal politics. If any region should be complaining, it should be the 2 Upper Regions and the Western Region and not the Volta Region.

Volta Region votes were the actual votes there was no apathy towards NDC. If NPP block the loopholes again in 2020 NPP will win again otherwise they will lose no matter the performance of the economy. NDC are an election rigging machine so the NPP must watchout. Since 1992 anytime NDC won the election many people denied voting for them yet they won. A clear example is the 2012 presidential election. If all the party agents had been given copies of the polling station results and copies pasted at the polling stations nobody could have changed the pink sheets figures

That is in your dreams. The truth and reality is that the Voters Register which has always been bloated and used in your favour because you know how to steal. This time NPP ensured that you did not benefit from the bloated reigster, hence the low figure for you. This is has always been the numbers you get in reality and NPP gets as much as they got this time. This clearly means that NDC has never won any election in the country but steal through various means as bloated register, intimidation, delay tactics employed to postpone voting in certain constituencies known to be strongholds of the NDC. No more will this happen and NDC will eventually die off.

Mr. Amaliba you are a lost soul! Another half a million votes from the Volta Region won't have helped Mahama win the presidency? You are data mining to tickle yourself from the pain of the massive defeat the NDC just experienced. How do you explain your party's defeat in the Central, Western and BA regions? Voter apathy? And how do you explain NPP performance in upper west and northern regions and Greater Accra? A good look at the presidential total votes in 2008 and 2012 should have educated you that both NDC and NPP are very competitively matched because the winning vote differentials in '09 and '12 were not very wide except for 2016. The total number of votes cast has not expanded much in the three polls. What is impressive in 2016 is the winning differential of one million votes. An attempt to down play Akuffo Addo's win is self delusion. The NPP is now a national party.having won a parliament seats in all ten regions. Unless the NPP administration fails miserably , the NDC will have hard knoll to climb in 2020. The southern six regions are where the votes are and NDC polled more votes there than the four regions it won. The NDC must de-emphasize divisive and tribal politics that Rawlings and Kofi Awoonor and Mahama promoted .The numbers are with the Akan south population. The good news is the NDC has a large following there. As the country develops economically, tribal affiliations voting paterns will take a back seat to real people issues. Otherwise at this stage there are no clear ideological differences among the two political parties.to determine the way forward. NPP remain in power this time for more than eight years. Prediction? Wait for 16 years for an NDC come back.

At this age of development and cilvilization, is this the best way a learned man can analyze issues; by using sectarian polictics? It is obvious that majority of Ghanaians (who are discerning) will not vote for you and your party. You are making it look like it's formed on idealogies that doesn't grow a nation, of course, we have seen 8 years of your rule and 8 years of another (NPP). You (NDC) have ruled Ghana (16 years of constitutional rule) more than any party both constitutional and military rule. Yet still the country only records an economic declination during your terms. Instead of you to fix your corrupt behaviour, you hide behind sectarian politics, maybe 10 years ago it worked that way but now more Ghanaians think and they really think far.
