The fact that some people in some religion worshipped their gods on December 25th does not mean anything Christians do on 25/12 is idolatry or part of that worship. In fact this is common sense. Thanks to Christmas and the good practices that come with it like going to church and giving to the poor, what has become of the popularity of the pagan worship of Sun that people often try to associate 25/12? It has totally been overshadowed.

In any case, Christ was born. Whether 1st July or 31st December is not mentioned in the bible, but he was born on a certain day. I personally do not believe He was born on 25th December, but I celebrate the birth in His honour and not any sun god or any Tammuz. Jesus Christ is LORD.

The question you should be asking yourself is, 'why will God see Christmas as sinful?' Is it because xtians go to shrine to offer sacrifice or it is because we bow to Satan on Christmas. As xtians, we should be ceasing every single opportunity to worship God and Christmas is just one such example.

It was Emporor Constantine who wanted peace in Rome between the Christians and the pagans that allowed both to worship together by bringing their idols into the Catholic Church and share their traditions in harmony, because they use to clash all the time. This is the reason why you see Jesus and Mary statutes in the Roman Catholic Church. Jesus wasn't born in December, it was the pagans who celebrate Christmas, it has nothing to do with the Christians, so as Christians, i don't think we should have any images or worship anyone else other than worshiping in spirit.

Statements like this forces me to question if there is any authenticity about "Church" itself. These pastors know that Christmas was a pagan ritual yet they have given their blessing to it.

If any of our local deities is holding an annual festival, they will urge their church members not to get near else they will end up in hell. That is hypocrisy at its best. Why can't these stomach pastors tell the truth about Christmas that looking elsewhere and pushing people to accept the unacceptable?

"Simply hold a lighted match directly under his feet." was the shop owner's reply.

where is Christmas mentioned to be celebrated, irrespective of the motive behind it, it doesn't reflect the motive of God.it is a pagan celebration, christianizing it doesn't change its import, it is still same. why do we have so many bad things happening in Christmas, if it was for Christ, look at these two scenarios in mentioned in the bible even while a common birthday was celebrated:

He is bound to express his opinions but the most important thing is we must always follow, "Thus says the Lord." It is interesting to note that if Christ indeed wanted His birth to be celebrated ever, He would have practiced it severally with His disciples and the general public at large during the period of His service on this earth. The most important thing is that we can't as human beings propose and dictate to God else one could sanction fornication, adultery, idolatry, etc and subject it to a standard and compel everyone to accept including God. Clearly it is never true Christ was born on 25th December as we have no record of it in the Scriptures hence we cannot stand on any false principle to let people attain perfection. God is always right and doesn't require falsification of dates to achieve any form of standard. It is imperative to know that in-spite of His birth to serve a purpose John 1:1ff makes us understand He was there before the beginning hence we can't trace Him to any date. I admonish everyone who really love God to avoid partaking in the festivity it is absolutely unchristian.

But the little knowledge you have acquired to disagree with someone's argument makes you pompous and calling names, Maybe that is why we never know the truth because the ones who think they no better are filled with pride. Whatever Jesus told us to do, He taught us how to do it, how to worship, how to pray, how and what to eat, how to dress, how to remember him by taking de Lord Supper, which includes washing of feet which most of christians in the name of Grace feels lazy to do. These are some of the feast that Paul talked about, Pastor i know for this one, you should go back, pray, research and come again. Just as the Rabbis wrote the OT Canon the Bishops wrote the NT Canon. A Canon in this sense is the rule on which books should be in your Bible or not. That said we have a lot of holy books not in the Bible. This is because the Bible is the standard text agreed on by the Bishops to contain the essentials of the Judaeo-Christian faith.
Hymnbooks, Theology books and Catechisms are also Holy books but we chose the Bible to educate everybody on our religion. So to say Jesus did not say in the Bible that we should celebrate his birthday is moot. Why does the Bible spend precious time to describe his birth? Our ancient Christians could mostly not read and write so festivals like Christmas were like Bible conventions when the pastor got them to lay down tools. They were taught by the plays and singing and special ceremonies the significance of Christ's birth. In fact this used to be around January 7th as the Feast of Epiphany but later a more general holiday was chosen which the Roman Empire already celebrated.

If we want to please Jehovah God all the time then we will be very careful about anything that the bible doesn't talk about. God, our loving Creator tells us that He is the one teaching us to benefit ourselves, the one guiding us the way we should walk. If only we pay attention to His commandments, then our peace would become like a river, and our righteousness like the waves of the sea (ISAIAH 48:17, 18).

So the huge question is didJehovah give His servants birthday celebration? No! Did Christ celebrate his birthday? No! Did Christ instruct his followers to celebrate his birthday? No! Is Christ's birthday specifically stated in the bible? No! Did the early christians celebrate Christ's birthday? No! Does the bible mention any of Jehovah's servants (eg Abel, Noah, Moses, Abraham, Ezra, etc) who celebrated his or her birthday? No! I believe that you know that the term "Christmas" is not in the bible. Let us see why faithful servants of Jehovah God must live strictly by the bible. Please read 2TIMOTHY 3:16, 17. "All scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching,.......for setting things straight, so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work".

Birthday celebration is not biblical and it's not christian. So where did Christmas, which some people claim is the celebration of Christ's birth come from? The New Encyclopoedia Britannica explains it was a pagan Roman festival marking the birthday of the unconquered sun. This was adopted by some false christians and they titled it "Christmas". But does God approve it? Absolutely NO!!!!

if jesus was indeed born on whatever date there should be witnesses- the bible claims his mother and father were there, three wise men(educated scholars), shepherds,jesus had brothers and sisters and also twelve disciples. if these witnesses could not confirm for the future church jesus birth date, why should we believe that his birth was accompanied by so many miracles??? its only a fool like otabil who claims that god came to the earth, was born on a day of stupendous miracles, had witnesses but no one in the entire church remembers his birthday!!!! rather the church had to steal a pagan worship date and even worse the church fought over this date until it was forced on the orthodox church by their councils.

Christians are not truthful people, they claim god for themselves, but run away from the truth.if all these witnesses exist who can confirm the date of jesus birth but left nothing how can we believe anything else in the bible, the simple fact that none of these witnesses could record a date of such significance accompanied by such miracles either means it did not happen or that if it indeed happened it was an event so useless to them they saw no reason to record it so why should we even bother to celebrate a useless event?

Christians of our days a soo funny & pastors are deceiving us this is like a student learning what his teacher has not taught in class he is likely to fail. why the Bible which is our dictionary, our guide and mirror but we are missing the way even Christ said I'm the way.He never teaches us to observe 25th as Christ birthday. not a single quotation in the scripture can be use to justify dis festival as sacred by God, Jesus nor the Apostle's. the x'mas is purely paganism even history tell's us Modern Catholic encyclopedia it is clear stated that x'mas is baseless from the scriptures. beloveds let us to mock our God n deceive ourselves
