If the report is accurate, what business has a police man got to do with how the incident described here? Stopping persons on a motor bike meant he did so on suspicion, but did he take the threat cues seriously, if yes, why did he not make use of the service rifle. The appropriate professional action was for him to alert the patrol team on sighting the gang, but if he decided to confront them he should have assessed it as well. The Ghana Police Service suffers unnecessary casualties from procedural and operational lapses.

The said police officer stopped these motorbike riders to extort money from them as usual, the said officer is the police driver of the district, he usually chase motor riders around to take money from them rather than chase armed robers, if he knew they were robers he would have hidden away from them, how could he have stopped armed robers without being armed himself? It's very unfortunate n sorry for a very strong yong man like that to lose a precious life at his age

The Police unit has never fought for the installation of cameras in towns and cities and would always rely on primittive rportage to arrest people. They have been supporting corruption activities so they they think if such things are in place, they cannot continue with the petty crimes they themselves do... Every institution must know better and cannot remain as the pre-historic era people.

Why is it that the police men being killed are most often from the Volta region?
Recently if my memory serves me right two policemen gunned down by armed robbers in the Brong Ahafo region were men from the Volta region. One of these young men was my brother. Up till now, nothing has been heard about the killers.
The police will tell you they are investigating but nothing comes out of their investigations.
The recent killing has brought back the pain I felt the day my brother was killed. There are more questions than answers. God is watching!
