We need to decentralize and place agencies where they matter and also develop and grown those areas. Put VRA somewhere in the Akosombo/Akuse area or in the Volta Region. Many relocate to Accra just for jobs, they can now stay close to their towns/villages for work.

Unlike most of the Brongs who even quit their businesses and sold their houses in Kumasi to relocate in Tachiman to help develop their region, the Ahafos who are mainly hanters and farmers have abandoned their homes to stay in Kumasi. How then can you develop? The BA is not too big, it's just about one and half times the size of Ashanti region. And the region is the most peaceful in Ghana. The Brongs who are the largest Akan group in the region don't discriminate, they co-exits harmoniously with all tribes.

Koforidua,Kumamasi,Tamale,Sunyani,Takoradi,Half-Assini,Cape Coast,Secondi,Ho and these are just a few to mention could have their share of the office towers.
If Nana Akufo-Addo want to relocate GNPC to Takoradi then he must have a good reason for him to do it and has prayed over it. We do not need everything in Accra or Tema.

Firstly, the movement of the GNPC Head Office to Takoradi for those who don't seem to appreciate this move, it is basically to create a growth and development pole from the Western end of Ghana instead of it being concentrated and fanning out from Accra being the locus.
Now, with that it becomes quite easy for one to wrap one's mind around such a move considering the vast hydrocarbon resources within the region and the kind of investment being pumped into that enclave.
I believe it is becoming clearer for one to get the picture of such a move. With the Head Office in Takoradi, the major players and other parastatals with an interest within the industry would as a matter of convenience have to create their lives and a community around the Head Office.
So construction and builders will come in creating jobs, the services industry will also come in creating jobs, and the ripple effect of these interventions and investments will result in reverse migration from Accra to Western region, decongesting Accra and bringing development to the Western region.
The relocation of the Head Office is basically bringing service delivery to the doorstep of the oil and gas sector and unleashing growth and development as a consequence of that move. It doesn't require rocket science to figure it out. It's that simple.

Siting GNPC in the western region will not lead to more oil discovery and I say so because even without the GNPC headquarters there, we still discovered oil.
