NDC never had a moral high ground. NDC is a party born out of blood and corruption. Rawlings abducted three high court judges and murdered them in a cold blood. Yet this thug talks about moral high ground. One of the justices who was taken away from her home in the middle of the night was nursing a baby. Rawlings ordered her to be killed. Is that a moral high ground? If only we are not cowards, we would put Rawlings on trial. Rawlings should be shot! He claimed that the reason he violently overthrew the constitutionally elected government of Ghana in December 1981 was that corruption was rampant. Ask yourself whether corruption has abated. Rawlings is an illiterate liar who should have been resisted from the onset. During g his reign, Ghana witnessed an unprecedented level of corruption. How do you fight corruption? There is only one way--that is to build institutions whose main goal is to fight corruption. During the time of Rawlings not a single person in the ruling government was prosecuted for corruption. It is fair to say that Rawlings's ministers were men of "integrity", that is why no one was jailed for corruption. To believe this bullshit would make you a typical Ghanaian. The reason why non of the PNDC/NDC members went to jail under Rawlings was because there were no anti corruption institutions. In civilized countries even the sitting president is investigated for corruption. When Kufour came to power, he was very corrupt. The NPP like the NDC looted the resources of the state. Why was the NPP able to engage in corruption with impunity? It was because there was no anti corruption institution in place. If there had been an anti corruption institutions in Ghana before Kufour took over, then he would have had to dismantle it before engaging in corruption. The fact is Kufour did not dismantle any anti corruption institution because there was none.The police and the intelligence agencies work together to fight corruption, that is what goes on in civilized countries. As a country what did we get from Rawlings? The BNI was supposed to fight corruption in high places, but it became a tool of the PNDC/NDC to harass political opponents. Rawlings is bloody minded individual whose very end would be unnatural. He is going to die a violent death. The Souls of those who fought the criminal thug Rawlings, are resting in peace. I am talking about Halidu Gyiwa and others.
