These trainee teachers are becoming irritants, polluting the atmosphere with issues that is way beyond them. In the first place, government does not pay money directly to the trainees. The feeding grant is paid to the Colleges, so it is the Principals of these colleges that can rightly confirm whether the monies have been paid or not. Some of these trainees who would not have been admitted into the colleges but for the policy that enabled and ensured increases in enrolment, want to drag every issue into the realm of politics, hoping that it will play to their advantage by having the incoming administration focus on them, and thus put the issue of the cancelled allowances on the front burner. These ignoramuses think that there are beds of roses waiting for the on the assumption of power by the NPP. Time will tell, and by the Grace of God, we shall all live to see.

Have these teacher trainees critically analyzed the fact that tertiary students don't receive allowances let alone feeding grants? This is a misplacement of priority. The very day parliament passed the law converting teacher training colleges into diploma awarding tertiary institutions, that was the day the allowance should should have been withdrawn.
These teacher trainees seem to be so buried in the allowance that they think withdrawal of the allowance will mean the end of their lives.
They are being offered free accommodation on campus while their university and other tertiary counterparts pay for their own accommodation. These teacher trainees are fed three times daily yet students of other tertiary institutions feed themselves; there is ready job (employment) waiting for the teacher trainees but other tertiary students have to struggle for jobs after completing their studies. After all these undue advantages, these teacher trainees still want monthly allowances and voted the NDC out for NPP to pay them. What if all other public tertiary students agitate for allowances and feeding grants?
