Rawlings should take his Party and lead in the re-organization of the Party- widening the electoral areas for the Primaries-ala NPP style- 10 each from the Polling Stations to constitute the electoral college so that nobody wth money can hijack the Party anymore. One has to scratch one's head trying to understand the logic of this Nukpenu. Rawlings must accept responsibility for the huge electoral defeat which the NDC suffered on December 7, 2016. Why? Well, Rawlings was the main founding member of the NDC. Rawlings has not been political power for some 16 years or so. Admittedly, the 1992 Ghana constitution was written to soothe his ego. In that constitution broad and sweeping powers were conferred on the President because Rawlings wanted it that way, and he was the only one with the guns in those days. Then came John Evans Atta Mills of blessed memory, who was strong enough to insist on his "B" team. Mills wanted his own people in positions of control. Unfortunately, Mills was a sick man from day one and lasted only a few more years. Then Mahama assumed the Presidency, and brought in his "C", or maybe even "D" team. Mahama did not have a lot of managerial skills and was hungry. His "D" team members were ALL upstarts who were also similarly hungry. They mismanaged the country and pillaged its resources, but they did not care what the electorate thought. First Mahama had made the observation that Ghanaians had short memories. Then the same Mahama said "ye ntei obiaa". Then the same Mahama said he was a "dead goat", and did not fear 'sikan'. Then the NDC political party, after having successfully stolen the 2012 election was confident they could do it again. After all, it is NDC IT experts who knew how to mine the raw data of the Electoral Commission. In the meantime, there were other actors in the field - Portuphy, Adamu, Anyidoho, deSouza, Nketia, Nkansah, Coker (who as recently as two days ago continues to insult the voter as "gullible"), then there are the Regional and District Ministers and then the Ministers and Deputy Ministers, all of whom seem to disdain the electorate. Sooner or later, your customers will catch on. A very wise politician from the western world once said, "you can fool some of the people all the time, and you can fool some of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time." Where is Rawlings in all this when the "D" team was on its rampage? Was he advising them? I am not a Rawlings fan, but the logic of blaming him escapes me.

Why should the BABY behaviour of Rawlings be not made clear publicly for him to learn how a real and wise founder of a political party ought to behave. If Rawlings could exercise wisdom in his interactions with others, he could have been the best leader in our nation.

In this l give the smart, bold and wise as well as intelligent Nukpenu bravoo for being the best among the many who are beating about the bush in making Rawlings understand that his lack of smartness in management and handling of affairs of a political party is one of the major causes of the defeat of the NDC.

Rawlings is a man full of nervousness and thus can not control his senses in a very wise way. He had been good before in those days of his military days but basically he has no basic experience when it comes to interaction within his own party.

He often behaves like a selfish Ashanti because he always wants to convince people that his is the best and thus when it is somebody's idea then it is not good.

Now concerning the NDC, Rawlings' basic mind is to undermine the party as long as he can not have full control over the party forgetting that a political party is not an individual business. This strange behaviour of Rawlings is what the wife demonstrated publicly.

Rawlings also would have formed another political party like the wife did if he could clearly read that forming one would succeed. His inability to form one is because the political arena would not favour his party to win any election. He also could not imagine who can be a good flagbearer that can be accepted by Ghanaians.

Another point of interet is that the NPP will show him how they want his life to end in disgrace since they hate him than he could imagine. In short well done Nukpenu. It is a good move since you are from the volta because if it had been of other tribe SOME people could have read negative meaning into these genuine words of reality.

Because our parents introduced us to this party, and we continue to vote. not because we have benefited from the party in any way. it has been like a tradition. when he speaks we listen. Just as ex-president Kuffour did not give his full support to Nana Addo in 2008 and he lost so has ex-president Rawlings failure to give his full support to Mahama caused him to loose the election so Rawlings must accept the blame and stop all those blame game. The bible says when we were sinners Christ died for us. If Rawlings had fought hard for Mahama to win when he Mahama was not listening to him then could we have said this is a true father. As a matter of fact Rawlings has demonstrated selfishness to the highest degree. He didn't care what happens to the party. Now that they are in opposition us what is good. The akan adage "wop3 no yield a wobr3" should have been Rawlings motto and not to have given up the way he did. Encouraging his wife to leave the party to form her own was also not good. One thing I know is NDC is the best party for Ghana because it stands for the grassroots but if they don't stop those schism and parch up the differences.............. A word to the wise is enough. Kuffour we all know does not like Akufo Addo in a way but he managed to root for him and they won. Rawlings absence from all the campaign spoke volume.
