Your piece, not a bad reading for a salacious material, is meant as a satire on John Mahama, but it scores very low on that! Rather, it scores very high on the genre of lonely life in times and troubles of Harmattan!

1. You state: "Every crevice on my body is covered with sand and I can even feel the sand when I lick my lips."

Wow! Miss Ohene, you mean the precious two under you are also all covered and filled with sand? Must be because you leave them uncovered and unused for too long! Even in times and troubles of Harmattan, those precious two can still be put to some hard rod-ramming activity to prevent the sand from filling them up! Nature abhors vacuum, you know!

2. You add: "My skin is parched and cracked. I hate it that I have to put so much moisturiser on my body."

First, it is true that when not put to use, those precious two become parched and cracked: it is a biological reality, not a Harmattan phenomenon! Second, I can understand it fully that you hate it when you have to use moisturiser! You don't need moisturiser - just as you don't need sand! These two, moisturiser and sand, are fakes! The best alternative is the original and the natural - the man-made!

3. Further, you state: "About the only saving grace in this dry phenomenon is that the shea butter sellers are doing a roaring trade."

You are not thinking of going into the shea butter trade, are you? While some go all dry and unused in times of Harmattan, the shea butter sellers are riding high and cream-juicy and all wet! They must know their trade well, those shea butter sellers! They must be "doing a roaring trade" indeed! Ramming and roaring and wet! Man-made is the power - the Real Macoy! Even shea butter sellers, despite the lubricating substance they are selling, know that for a thing to do the trick it has to roar like a lion! It is a "roaring trade", not a moisturising self-help!

4. You state: "The shea butter easily comes out better than any other cream or lotion on the market as the antidote for harmattan induced dry skin. The more expensive famous brands of creams come nowhere near doing the trick."

Yes, it all boils down to "doing the trick", doing the do-the-do! Shea butter may be better than the other pretences on the market, but it is not the best antidote to frustrations in times of Harmattan! It is creamy all right but not as whitish in colour as man-made's! And it is not sticky and not viscous and not proteinous! Besides, shea butter can only take you half-way; man-made will take you all the way to the bottom of the abyss! Man-made is what does the trick fully!

Finally, taking out one's frustrations on Mahama is no good way to tackle the Harmattan blues! There's no law barring the president from working before he hands over power to a new government!
