It is going to be very hard to accept the truth, yet by my own observation, NDC would find it very tough to win the Presidency soon. Apart from JJ Rawlings who forced himself to be a de facto leader and subsequently dominated the new NPP under Adu-Boahen, the alliance of ethnic regionalism which have dominated, the body politic of Ghana would not help the NDC in the near future. They would have to put a Presidential candidate from the populous ethnic regions to win a future President.It is going to be very difficult for the NDC.
They need to promote ethnic harmony rather than promoting divisions. For the Volta region, it would be more prudent to lean towards the NPP for strategic alliance.
If NDC does what I suggest, Ghana would see more decades of competitive elections rather than many years in opposition.
