The matter should be investigated and questions asked, for which answers must be obtained. My suspicion is that some powerful people in the outgoing government or people linked to them, imported the vehicles, wanting to clear them duty-free, and later sell same at great profit. It may not have been bought from public funds, but from private funds, hoping to use government links to avoid import duties. Whichever angle one looks at it from, some corrupt lot wanted to pull a fast one on Ghanaians one final time.

Do we ever ask the questions like - Why do we keep getting powe cuts? What happened to our medical sevices from Kole Bu, Komfu Anokye Hospital some years back? Our infrusture - roads, trains, public transport etc?
The income generated for the country Ghana is what should be used to maintain services for the common good.
Politicians past and present we will answer for our actions. Swindling public money for personal, private and family use is CORRUPTION!
The country suffers for the actions of unscrupulous inappropriate personnel put into governmental positions.
I hope President Nana Affufo Addo will ensure that persons put into positions are not for nepotism, party favorites but qualified experienced suitable for the positions they are appointed to.
God Help our Mother Ghana. AMEN.

I was indeed enthused when in 2009 the then government withdrew vehicles that were purported to have been transferred to the previous government. I was once again shocked when the same people who prevented the previous government from owing those Peugeot vehicles have now got the ordersity to effect change of ownership of state vehicles ranging from Ford expedition to Toyota Avensis especially the one who led Gas against ex president Kufuor's building. Wonders shall never end. May the current government please desist from this uncouth behaviour towards their predecessors so that mother Ghana will move forward. Long live Ghana and God bless us all.
