Taking an oath of office is a serious business and nothing must be taken for granted. The spirit and letter of the oath must be fully adhered to. Nana did not repeat exactly what the chief Justice read to him to repeat. He used his own word. Even though it is English language and words have synonyms, it is not appropriate and right or the same when swearing.
Nana instead of repeating the word 'WELLBEING' said 'WELFARE'. This makes him notthe president until he is sworn in again.

My friend, much as I disagree with Anowa for asking for the oath to be administered again base on the inappropriate pronouncement by Akufo-Addict in which he even went ahead with some pronunciation before the Chief Justice, he is solemnly therefore right to voice out to the obvious. In fact, one is to repeat exactly what is read to him or her by the Chief Justice as important as an oath constituting the republic. So, Mr. President-elect should have followed the protocol as constituted before him, that's all.

NANA ADDO DID NOT TAKE THE FULL OATH OF OFFICE CORRECTLY. SO TO ME HE IS NOT THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA UNTIL THE OATH IS ADMINISTERED AGAIN! Taking an oath of office is a serious business and nothing must be taken for granted. The spirit and letter of the oath must be fully adhered to. Nana did not repeat exactly what the chief Justice read to him to repeat. He used his own word. Even though it is English language and words have synonyms, it is not appropriate and right or the same when swearing. Nana instead of repeating the word 'WELLBEING' said 'WELFARE'. This makes him notthe president until he is sworn in again.
