Taking an oath of office is a serious business and nothing must be taken for granted. The spirit and letter of the oath must be fully adhered to. Nana did not repeat exactly what the chief Justice read to him to repeat. He used his own word. Even though it is English language and words have synonyms, it is not appropriate and right or the same when swearing.
Nana instead of repeating the word 'WELLBEING' said 'WELFARE'. This makes him notthe president until he is sworn in again.

I think I agree with Nana that apart from Nkrumah's time, it is only within these 24years of democracy that Ghana has seen some level of development. I pray that Nana will continue from where Mahama brought us to in terms of development (both infrastructure and human development). If Nana succeed, it is Ghana that will succeed!

Ghanaians are a very fastidious people and Akufo Addo has complicated things by raising the expectations of Ghanaians through the roof while campaigning. My own sense is that he will certainly fall short of the impatience of Ghanaians in delivering. This will definitely stress the new president and affect his already frail health which he is trying to hide. Cardiovascular, kidney, and cancer issues become very aggressive with daily stress. At some point if the going gets too tough, as it definitely will, Akufo Addo should not try to play a hero as his Legon mate Prez. Atta Mills did, but retire to the comfort of his family and let the younger Bawumia take over. IN A SENSE, THE NORTHENERS WILL COME BACK AGAIN.

We should say big thank u to president JDM for his effort to face lift Ghana. He was ready to do more if Ghanaians had voted for his second mandate. Ghana could have enjoyed life in d near future. The change of the Nation to a new erra was in Prez.JDM. Ghanaians did not have the pazience to wait and got deceived of many political propaganda. Now as the prez.
