My advice to the new Ghana government is to be sensitive to those Ghanaians who reside in abroad, in terms of taxes at the ports so that they can also contribute to the growth of the economy. So that your work will be easier for you.
If you reduce those unnecessary taxes that Mahama incurred on people sending thongs into our own country we will help in the development you want to happen in the country.
How can you pay Ghc30,000 tax on a car you bought for £5000,where on Earth have you heard of such kind of tax ,except in NDC government in Ghana.
Those cars are not overaged that would have been reasonable.
We have so many machines that can help in small scale industry, but the taxes.

Akuffo Addo is relying on revenue from TEIN to carry out his promises of free education, allowances, reduction of taxes, etc. It is not easy to provide free services like a communist country.

Did YOU try importing anything into or exporting anything to GHANA as a small business man or woman under clownish Mahama and his thieving gang the NDC?
Taxes alone made some of us abandon our plans of setting up businesses in Ghana.
Corrupt port officials who are bent on seizing cars and other items are nothing new in Ghana but under the NDC, it was an open war on exporters especially for overseas Ghanaians trying to come home and set up small scale businesses.... not to mention the cops on our highways who after paying for all those hefty taxes at the ports, also harass you to give the 'iced water money' anytime you crossed a police check point or barrier.
So you tell me who should you break. Ghana is the one that needs a break and it looks like it just might happen.

Under the Mahama govt many new private businesses were brought into this country. Just look at the number of airlines that return into the country. Gold refinery, shoe and sugar factories revamped. Rice production was increased by 30% by private companies. Pharmaceutical companies were supported. Were these not businesses. Was Ghana ever closed to business? These empty words do not create business opportunities. Kuffour talked about zero tolerance of corruption but he ended up collecting the grafts right in the castle then. Ghana has been opened to business all along. Only that the NDC govt did not open up for drug business.
