It is obvious that the writer of this article is operating at a level totally different from the level of awareness of some of his readers. In Ghanaian culture, and this is true in most tribes, one's father need not be strictly one's biological father. An uncle is also your father. In the old days, when a biological father died, his children and even wife, can be made to move.into the household of the biological father's brother. The brother then assumed responsibility for the children and wife. Some such wives have been known to then go on and have children with their former brother in law. The reference of J. B. Dankwa and William Ofori Atta as the father(s) of Akuffo Addo is therefore to be taken with an understanding of Ghanaian culture. If you are one of those Ghanaians who has been brought up speaking only English in your house, and your immediate micro family has discouraged learning about traditional protocol and culture, then this is an education you have missed. The "opportunity cost", you might say, for being Anglocised!

The father of our President, Mr Edward Akufo Addo comes from Akropong Akuapem. Although the President's mother comes from Kyebi when she died , she was buried in Akropong beside her late husband.

Please let's get all these celebrations upon celebrations behind us and get to work we have a job to do,and to all those talking now we got a President lets move on its not about JM,JAK,JJ etc.its about Ghana and how we can alleviate the hardships the populace is going through the down fall of NDC lets be real is from Asiedu Nketia,Ablakwa they just came not to help build Ghana but to loot.I hope there will be no witch hunting but anybody found to have killed Ghana will have to be dealt that can not be allowed to continue.Now its like a norm mantra in Ghana if you want to make money go into politics,go to Customs etc.the duties on cars will have to be reversed to Kuffuor days and hopefully the President can get a hard working person like the one Kuffour had for roads Dr Anane this man will be at sites of road constructions early in the mornings himself,Allan is another guy I trust will not fail.
