They wooed and deceived the left wing aspirations and heritage of the Akan people but installing a few naive genuine patriots or impeccable characters like Mills to front their true criminal genocide agenda. Any nation that allows murder of the leaders to go unpunished no matter the lying propaganda justification is doomed to failure and that is a fact of history , NDC has continuously found it necessary to murder all Akan leaders starting from Kotoka's wickedness, to Acheampong and now Mills. We Akans can not call these Ewes and Northerners brothers if their most intimate desires is our destruction stemming from deep pathological hate and is manifested in their style of govt which has always been very destructive and retrogressive , be it the buga buga rawlings or the family and friends corruption/looting of Mahama. We thank Akans of the left wing inclination for showing their support to remove this criminal mafia by not excising their right not to vote and therefore leaving the NDC high and dry.They know the Akans are half right wing and the other half left wing so their calculation election engineering required that they stick to the hegemony of the Ewes and fantical islamic discrimination mixed with tribalism of the northerners and they would win hands down every election, little did they know that the ideological left wing of the Fanti speaking people and the Brong Ahafo are far more sophisticated and can not be fooled by no one forever. Next year we will see and witness the true extent of the destruction and expose with real proofs the colonization by Ewes and Northerners of the wealth of the Akans . Justice should be enforced not these fake laws that have so many loop holes that true justice in the interest of the people is elusive. We witness how thew Mahama family now have control of all natural resources including reserves of Bauxite and iron ore so frustrated and sabotaged every effort at industrialization and construction of railway networks as they did not want the people to get wealthy by adding value and exporting . Its easier to manipulate ignorant illiterate impoverished people. They snear scoff and laugh as they know these and other impediments and obstacles will seriously slow down NPP's deep desire to secure a true development for our people , yes the battle goes on and the only way is to cut these pepeni/ayigbe out of our country so we gain new independence.

Copyright laws allow people to use other person's work 70 years after their death without quoting them. These statements were first used by Woodrow Wilson who died over 70 years now. Bush used it in 2001 without crediting him, so it is not wrong for president NADAA to use same without acknowledging original author. By law it is not plagiarism.

You who call yourself Paa Joe (UK), you're apparently ignorant. You don't understand what plagiarism is. Plagiarism is not a question of the use of the English language. In this particular case, Akufo-Addo has plagiarised because he used the exact statements and ideas with the same words used by some American presidents in their inaugural addresses without giving credit to the authors concerned.

Eugene Arhin, Akufo Addo's Director of Communication, deliberately plagiarised parts of those former presidents' speeches thinking they would not be detected. And now that that has happened, he claims it's an oversight. How could that have been an oversight? According to him, he credited Busia, Danquah and Nkrumah all right, but he stupidly thought America is far away and whatever happened there was outside the reach of Ghanaians---in this electronic age!

At any rate, I'm not surprised. It's the NPP that's back in power, back with their high level of corruption. The very first official act by President Akufo-Addo and it's an act of corruption!!! It foreshadows the corruption Ghanaians should expect. They're just picking up from where they were left off. The Kufuor administration's track record of corruption is there for all Ghanaians to see.

And, of course, one should not forget Akufo-Addo's own corruption allegations. This very first act of plagiarising only reminds us of who he actually is. One must not forget that he claims to be a lawyer except that he has stubbornly failed to tell Ghanaians which law institution trained him as such, except to say that his law certificate is missing and how he was called to the Ghana Bar is still shrouded in mystery. He is unable, or he's refused to, mention the name of just one Ghanaian colleague of his with whom he went through the ceremony of being called to the Bar. He also claims he went to the Middle Temple in London, England. and was thus called to the United Kingdom Bar. The problem with that, though, is that to be admitted to that prestigious British legal institution, a candidate must have earned at the baccalaureate level at least a 2nd Class Upper Division. So, the question is, how did Akufo-Addo gain admission to that institution, since he obtained a mere 3rd Class Economics degree from the University of Ghana and was therefore unqualified to be called to the Bar in the U. K.?

Since Akufo-Addo has obstinately refused to answer this legitimate question, we will continue to raise it and similar ones until he answers us, for we Ghanaians have the right to know the true backgrounds of our elected officials, especially our presidents'. Unfortunately, it's only Kufuor and Akufo-Addo who have dubious backgrounds that they don't want the electorate to know. No one knows where Kufuour also trained as a lawyer.

For now, we must not be surprised about the way Akufo-Addo has started as President, plagiarising. Poor Ghana and poor gullible Ghanaians!

Even Jesus Christ's resurrection is still doubted by many, obviously to those bound for hell because Bible says the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing. Akufo Addo is an accomplished lawyer and you still how he got admission to Middle Temple? I never mean to be mean but let me ask Prof Allan Dershowitz question he asked Obama for stabbing Israel's back at the UN: Is it foolishness, malice or simply bad policy? and I will ask, or a combination of the three?

I will never condone plagiarism, such mistake at that level is serious and unacceptable. To give the flimsy excuse it was an oversight is unacceptable either, the need to be cautioned never to repeat that due to the obvious embarassment but to asset its reflective of someone's nature and indicative of what to come, I think is over the bar assessment.

Besides, Copyright laws allow people to use other person's work 70 year after their death without quoting them.
These statements were first used by Woodrow Wilson who died over 70 years now. Bush used it in 2001 without crediting him, so it is not wrong for president Nana Addo to use same without acknowledging original author. By law it is not plagiarism.

It would amount to an academic Summersault, for us as fellow Ghanaians ,to think of plagiarism without checking our facts right.hmmmmm.the question is who copied who: That phrase or sentence came from Christian Lindke and even before he published his book "Citizens, Not Spectators, A Democracy in Action Civic Education Curriculum for High School Students" which had that re-phrase sentence "...I ask you to be citizens: Citizens, not spectators; citizens, not subjects; responsible citizens building communities of service and a nation of character...", it was made known by Wilson Woodrow the 28th President of the US (1913 to 1921), in a book by By John Milton Cooper, Jr Who made it known in Biography of the American President, Published by Knopf Doubleday.

With this background details, I think its George Bush Jnr the 46th President of the US, who needed to be held for plagiarism when that what made. But, in a state of the nation address or speeches, the speech book contains some reference, which will have these names as a background quotes. But, not included in the main speech being delivered for time factor and other reasons. There is absolutely nothing wrong, When Obama uses phrases of Martin Luther King Jnr in state speeches and address.

Nana Addo used those phrases and short sentences because, it sends a message out there... that doesn't mean he copied a who speech, if he had, then we could sound the plagiarism alarm, when the reference is not made. And when there are other quotes and phrases from other authors, that is research not plagiarism.

Hasty and thirsty for faults, which aren't. I guess there were other quotes or phrases which were used. This is not plagiarism but a research. Get the full handouts and check the reference for the speech.

Copyright laws allow people to use other person's work 70 years after their death without quoting them. These statements were first used by Woodrow Wilson who died over 70 years now. Bush used it in 2001 without crediting him, so it is not wrong for president NADAA to use same without acknowledging original author. By law it is not plagiarism.

President Nana Addo statement was first used by Woodrow Wilson over who died over 70year now. Bush used it in 2001 without crediting him, so it is not wrong for president Nana to use without a credit, by law it is not plagiarism This is because Woodrow Wilson made that statement in September 1919. Again, David M. Ricci used the same statement in 2004 and Kartnim Erdnam in 2006 likewise Former President Bush in 2001.

Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work. The idea remains problematic with unclear definitions and unclear rules.

One, the speech was not an academic exercise. The object of the speech was to inspire. Two the very speech was first made more than 70 years ago. And what does the copy rights law says? People, we must shine our eyes and be prepared to work harder. Is this because Americans said Trump wife plagiarised Mrs Obama speech and Nigerians also said same to Buhari so Ghana must find something to trend? This time we are not going to follow and cheer on like we are in normal times. These times are not normal and we are going to treat it as such. We need serious minds not trivial minds, what the journalists think is embarrassing is not embarrassing to us. Because at this present time we the People need jobs, education, good roads, hospitals, and so many more.
