It is his life and he can decide to live as a recluse for any period of time.
What about if he had traveled abroad and like many other Ghanaians decided to keep his trip to himself for fear of any spiritual schemes against his trip?
So, you see my friend, he hasn't committed any crime. He never told anyone to come looking for him because he is missing.
Well, it would have been expedient for him to inform his family and his boss if he were taking a vacation or going on a retreat BUT NO HE HASN'T COMMITTED ANY CRIME.
His family and boss can deal with him accordingly BUT NOT LAW ENFORCEMENT.

This in the near future shall served as deterrent to other journalist. His claime is no where near the truth of his missing and presumed the Investigative body of the Ghana Police Service can unravel the circumstances leading to his missing. At where I am, sending police on some wild-goose chase is a serious crime in itself if the perpetrator is not declared insane in the membrane by a qualified physician or forcefully kidnapped as speculated. So, it would be better for the family to come forth with what the know sooner than later.
