  Oil Palm is a number one crop to creat a lot of employment if it is focused. Because it requires more hands than cocoa at the production level, it's also processed here which creats more jobs for factory workers. It's also refined here to produce vegetable oils, margarine, soaps and detergents, tooth paste, nodules and many products of which all are consumed here .

  Very good suggestions boss. Crops like yam with huge potential for food security and foreign exhange for the country has not been given the needed attention by goverments. This is the time to pay close attention to such crops and I dare add cotton, a cash crop with that provides ectra income for farmers. Cotton can be cultivated in the B/A, Eastern and Central regions in addition to the three northern regions. A massive agricultural potential if the sector is well managed.

  Until the traditional and ease of farming slash an burn agriculture is abolished, the ecosystem for productive agriculture will not sustain any best efforts. Brazil is desperately try to fix this problem where by the natural vegetation is cut down and burned as a method of clearing the land for cultivation, and then, when the plot becomes infertile, the farmer moves to a new fresh plot and does the same again.
