I must say I appreciate your point, Prof, considering the fact that for example Dr. Nduom is overseeing over 60 business entities whose size put together exceeds the size of any ministry in the country.
However, we should note that an attempt to be penny wise makes pound fool. Our institutions are currently not strong enough as seen else where and so we should try to avoid the instance of bloated cost of contracts and other cost in developing our country.
Smaller sizes that goes with vigilance and and proper monitoring and accounting is most needed.
Otherwise, I am told UK has 13 Ministers, and that being of same land area and even lesser population Ghana should have not more than10 ministers.

People have been wondering and doubting how President Akufo Add will deliver his gargantuan ambitious but necessary promises in 4 years. No one has advised him to cut down on the promises he intends to deliver, so let us trust his judgement in form a knowledge intensive government leadership that is up to the task. The main reason for NDC failure was that it paid to the gallery instead of facing the reality that it need knowledgeable and experienced people to bring the country out of its predicament. In a country where things don't work by default we need to throw more eyes and brains at out problems.

For What we know of you is a man who believe in what he says, but now is turning down and is trying to satisfying protocol. I think this is ‘job for the boys’ and is dangerous to your ruling.
Mr. President, those who are pushing you to succumb to their request are undermining your government. Please, be firm as Nana Akufo Addo we know. Don't let the title "President” weaken your courage. If you want God to be with you. This is just the beginning, don't think listening to lobbyist will sustain your power. Ghanaians' voted you there to save situation to reduce tax payer’s money. Remember that. Don't be like Saul of Israelite who tried to sustain his seat but lost it, but be like Joshua who stood firm and God be with him till the end to leave a legacy. My President remember who you are. Remember how you do your things. Your advisers are not helping. And if the very begging is going to be like this, do not believe you can achieve your purpose, the will let you down. We voted you there because we know you are a man of principle and you will let what you said come to pass.
Mr. President, you don't have any excuse here because you have been in parliament before. Trust in will be reducing if you don't reduce the number of ministerial appointees as you said. Know who you are and remember how you do your things, Ghanaians are watching. Still remember your campaign promises, this is your first initiative, and is going to tell how you will deliver. Appoint the expert who can perform dual roles. This is the 21st century job performance expectation. Merge offices and duties please. It is possible to achieve your purpose with few ministers. The may need deputes. Let professionalism comes into role play.
