  We are clamoring for a sub-continental unity, but we continue to divide our country along regional, and in most cases, tribal lines. Why create new regions, and for what purpose? If we are to apply tribal fault lines as rationale for the creation of new regions, we might end up with more than 100 tribal regions, knowing very well that ethnic groups in Ghana, at times operate as if they are mutually exclusive entities.

  The president did not say he was creating the new regions along tribal lines,they are being created to make for effective and proper administration I guess.We as a country and people must understand that the country will not forever remain 10 regions,as and when population increases and other dynamic changes it becomes imperative to also adapt and that is exactly what the new administration seeks to do.Remember president Mahama also promised to create new regions,what about if he had won and started the implementation would you have made the same comment?Greater Accra and Eastern regions as well as the Northern and the two upper regions were once two regions before they were split into four regions,what about Ashanti and the Brong Ahafo regions?,the examples can go on and on but what I will say finally is that let us as a people and a country embrace change and move forward and stop the old ways of doing things and the unnecessary pull him down attitude.

  I don't think there is a need for this. There are too many ministers in Ghana. All of them are living luxurious life whilst the ordinary Ghanaian suffers. Why don't you use those money on basic amenities .
