I don't even know why Atta Mills reversed this decision to 3years.May His soul rest in peace.But I am not happy about that decision.We don't even have jobs for this students we are in hurry to graduate.

SHS is 3 yrs ( 12 years pre uni edu)
High school is 3 years almost worldwide, except Canada where middle school is 2 years but in all from Primary to high school is 12 years . It's a clear standard in every academic standard ... read full comment

Both associations should come out boldly to determine how many years of SHS is adequate to complete the syllabus and prep students well enough for tertiary education. Both Associations also know the trash that is being produced from the SHS and dumped in equally trashy private, religious and public universities.

The syllabus is too loaded to be covered adequately in 3 years. Either it is thinned down so we have 3 years or if maintained, then we have to have 4 years to do justice to the syllabus.

I think de SHS shd be four years, for the children to be matured enough both academic n physical to enter tertiary. bcoz dese days de remedials ar too much.

The truth is that the 3years is not enough for the teachers to finish the syllabus. The teacher's and headmasters complain any time we go to pta meetings and these are the people on the ground

I had my shs education both in ghana nd the usa. In ghana the kids are thaught every single topic in maths while in the usa the select only basic areas that are relevant. In usa every child takes course in biology, chemistry ... read full comment

One extra year of practical work will help the students and also make the correct decisions in entering tertiary education. I completed shs and didn't feel like I have learnt anything.
