  I am all for developing deprived areas of the country including the Zongo, but not to take on organisation that are religiously focused. Are we going to fund the Hajj Board?

  Hahahahaaaa, this clearly shows you, there is no planning done on the formation of this ministry. The guy doesnt know what to do with his Zongo affairs ministry. lol. God save Ghana

  How can any serious government appoint someone who don't have any idea of clean living and orderness,Right now our cities looks like dumping grounds. We going to see more bola under this so called NPP faceman.

  Mr Minister for Inner City and Zongo Development designate, please hold it here. Your reason for placing the Hajj Board under your visionless ministry is rather apologetic.
  
  Come to think about it in the first place. The word zongo, what it is, where it is and how it characteristically looks like everywhere connotes barbarism, indignity, and to say the least derogatory. People who live in these areas are supposed to be settlers who mostly are of northern decent. Instead of us fighting to change this barbaric nomenclature, we are praising people who are not affected by its inhumane attributes. Everything bad or violent is of moslim or northern origin.
  Mr Minister designate be mindful that not all moslims live in the slums called zongo and they equally perform the hajj. At least over the few years, going to the hajj has been dignified with good structures and even made better. We should be proud that our people can now fly direct from the Tamale Airport (courtesy the Mahama Administration)instead of traveling all the way to Accra to live either in the zongos here or in tents. This is the paradigm shift we want to see.
  
  For its purpose, the Hajj Board is better situated under the new Ministry of Chieftainship and Religious Affairs.
