  One institution that is so politicised and harangued and yet so critical and indispensable in fundamental micro/macro-economic analysis is the Bureau of National Statistics BNS.
  Reliable statistical indicators are the bedrock upon which meaningful and constructive economic planning is developed and built on.
  This is the more reason why it makes sense to suggest that the Bureau is insulated from political interference and manipulation.
