  Ghanaians have been imitating any and all things UK or USA for as long as I can recall. Yes we somehow manage to have some national holiday in July to match 4th July in the USA and we moved our election voting cycle to match that of the US. Did our copy cat thinkers forget that in the USA an incoming government tend to have keys Agency heads nominated and confirmed prior to the swearing in of the new president?
  To me, what is happening at the start of the Nana Akufo-Addo era tells me that we do not care to learn about past mistakes in Ghana; we love our irrational ideas that are popular with a mostly ill-informed voter public. So here we are in Ghana under the mighty Nana Akufo-Addo who some claim to have been voted into office by the Almighty God himself with yet people signing presumed termination letters under his authority to remove people from post with those positions yet to filled through appointments and a vetting process. You ought to learn, Mr. Amos Amorse, that the "chosen one" Nana Akufo-Addo will not succeed if he runs government the way others before him did. His so-called inner staff will do themselves some good if they made sure that every appointment under the Nana Akufo-Addo administration is vetted by parliament even if not necessarily mandated under current constitutional requirements.

  If just 1 week after assuming office we all must "Applaud Akufo-Addo for naming his ministers in less than one-week", what would Mr. Amos Amorse ask of us. That is, when Akufo Addo signs a strong citizen-centered Freedom of Information (FOI) bill for Ghana, or adopts the PSA as the mandatory fiscal regime for all of Ghana's oil, and secures for Ghana better than 50% of all oil revenues, versus the current Ghana Hybrid System, so-called, where Ghana only receive 17%, thanks to the same NPP and Mahama's NDC.
