The president does not reside in all districts at the same time so this is the only good approach

A government corporation , as our national experiences go, including the collapse of Ghana Airways. A solely run Ghanaian government enterprise would be a waste of tax payers money. We have a bad attitude to punctuality,poor financial common sense, poor customer care culture and cronyism . That is a recipe for disaster! Think again, Madam.

Instead of starting a national airline, how about helping and giving more incentives to Africa World Airlines to build its headquarters in the country and making Ghana its hub?

She should focus on airport expansion and making deals with some major airline from abroad to use Accra as a major African hub. Could Delta come more often? Might United comeback? These are the things she should look into.

The airline died during the NPP Gov't! As long as govenrment officials don't keep expecting free tickets and jobs for relatives, it should not be rocket science having an airline.

The government can't be involved in the airline business. They just can't do business ! It's tough enough out there with big players such as Ethiopian, South African Airways, etc....Can another major carrier from the continent make it? Maybe....but it shouldn't be a priority.

Work with current foreign carriers to make it easier to do business here. Use Ghana as a hub....So carriers like Delta can land here and go onward to other west african countries.

The last time around, (remember Ghana International Airlines with those antiquated aircrafts and Dr Anane-style management?), you guys just looted the national coffers with your failed experiment of an airline. Leave that to the private sector. You just don't have the brains of the Ethiopians so stop the dumb comparisons. Ghanaians are too CORRUPT for such a national venture. Plus, history has shown that the gov't of Ghana, after Dr Nkrumah, has failed in every meaningful venture.

Just don't waste the people's time and resources with your myopic vision.

What a welcome news. The stupid, thoughtless dissolution of the operation of GHANA AIRWAYS by Rawlings is mind boggling. I for one, don't think we should let things alone. Instead, we should demand from Rawlings to first account for how the sale and disbursement of the assets of the Ghana Airways were liquidated and disbursed. I think, Nana should request for a Special Investigator to investigate how the assets were sold and to whom they were sold and how the revenue from the sale was disbursed. Not the Ghana Airways alone, but also, the disbanded and liquidated our National Black Star Line by him, Rawlings.
