But don't forget that several MPs had previously been entangled in dubious cases of fraud and corruption and they saw the Parliament as a safe haven where they could get immunity, even if they were subsequently found culpable or guilty.

Remember K. T. Hammond and Barton Oduro, the former deputy A-G? And came Okudzetu Ablakwah? And there could be others like that.

When these folks become wealthy with the ill-gotten money, the first thing they think about is securing themselves with Parliamentary membership and they then throw the money around in their neck of the woods to lure votes that would send them to the august House.

They might as well have contributed immensely towards the campaign of their respective leaders to get approval to stand in their Parties' name. They, thus, become the preferred candidates for the Party they belong to, even if there are other Party candidates to contest in the Primaries.

That is Ghana for you!

I hope we would grow out of that filthy politically corrupted environment to elect really eligible candidates for our MPs.

If she is in the records that the couples were guilty by the court of the land then she shouldn't be our minister,they have to do a background check for the the ministers by BNI.

How can a fraudster make a sound business case to potential AMerican tourists and investors after learning about what this Afeku woman did to the Gick family. We need someone with a better reputation. She does not have to hold any public office...period. There are better people in GHana to serve than this crook of a person.
